The difference in police response is that the stolen vehicle was a 150cc scooter and therefore registered and licensed. It goes on their stolen vehicle watch list. That makes it grand larceny, as opposed to the theft of a non-registered and non licensed 50cc which is very hard for them to recover. At least that's the way it works around here.

Orson Reedy asked that same question in 2008 on ScootDawg. They didn't have an answer then either.. the bike in question then was an Aeolus 300. My SWAG would be an unused connector for an optional but never deployed fuel line heater. But then again, in translation, I have ran into "raised sticked rubbles" as the term for adhesive rubber feet on the bottom of electronics. Hope someone finds out what it is before I need one..

Yup..The only real motorcycle is a Harley. The only real cigarette is a Camel non-filter. The only real motorcycle jacket is black leather. The only real wallet is leather and has a chain to attach to your pant loop. The only real booze is Jack Daniels. The only real car is a truck. And if you believe all that, then please believe that real skydivers don't wear parachutes.

I consider helmets transferable, and therefore would not include them in the ownership/operating cost of a single bike. Saddlebags I would consider because they have a use and wear that, except in the case of expensive ones, rarely last beyond the bike they are bought for. Just my 12 cents worth (I adjusted for inflation). So in my opinion you did even better..
