I just ran across a 2007 Kymco People 250 for $500.
Seller says it runs great, just has some cosmetic blemishes here and there. Also the speedometer and odometer do not work.
Is this a good deal? I have done my research and it seems like this would be considered as an almost "too good to be true" type sale.
Your thoughts?
I really appreciate everyones opinions

Does the seller have the title? Are the tags current, or lapsed? And how many miles does the seller estimate are on the bike?
I agree with rocky, sounds like fixing it is way cheaper than blue book. So if it's otherwise good, I'd say go for it. And of course and as always, post pics if you do!

Sounds like one of those good deals that you come upon every now and then. If you get it, before buying a new speedometer or cable, unscrew the cable at the hub end to determine if it was fully inserted into the hub. My 2008 roketa came with a dust sleeve that was to long, so it could not be secured into the hole with the locking screw. It worked for a week, then had slipped out enough to disengage. Since the sleeve is plastic and not rubber, there was not enough compression available to fit. I simply trimmed 1/8" off so it would push far enough into the hole for the screw to line up with the locking groove. Best of fortune to you..

I have an old 2007 Kymco Grandvista 250... Lots of miles on her, and still "bulletproof"... If the People is anything like my old hoss, it's a keeper!
I'm now a die-hard fan of Kymco!
Ride safe,
