I should probably mention how everything has been so far today after placing my order early this morning. I received an e-mail around 11am Eastern ( Killer Motorsports is based in TX for those that may not know, in the Central time zone) from a member of their staff informing me that they were having issues with the online order form sending the actual inventory request through - but that they received my payment. I was given a number to call and then spoke to Steve who took all the information regarding my scoot and order. I was quoted with a week and a half delivery time which I hope becomes a case of under-selling and over-delivering. Around 1:30 my time I received a voicemail about having not gotten my color requests written down, d'oh! I called back and this time spoke to Scott as Steve had apparently gone out for lunch, but Scott took down my info and colors and let me know exactly how many of each they had at the distribution center. Great, friendly guy on the phone - Steve too. I had previously spoken to Scott weeks ago when I was first looking at ordering from them under the guise of knowing nothing about the scooters just to see if he would BS me but he didn't which earned them my trust in the first place. So far, so good. No problem getting a hold of anyone at the business today and I don't feel like I've made a bad decision. Hopefully it stays that way! P.S. oldchopperguy - No worries on the cold weather storage, I've got a nice sized (SECURE!!) finished porch that it will sit nicely in during the weeks/months where it really is just too darn cold to ride ( but will give me lots of time to tinker ).

Way to GO with that porch!
Back "in the day" I often rode my chopper into the living room during the Chicago winter... Usually only to haul it back out the first sunny day. The WORST accident I ever encountered happened that way... Right in the middle of January (1964 if I recall...) it went from below zero to around 36 degrees, with SUNSHINE! Out I went, leather jacket, Eskimo mittens and boots... slappin' leather for the city lights... Dry freeways, bright sun, and cruising around , I went under an overpass on the Eisenhower Expressway... Only to find the shaded road glare-ice.The old Harley went out from under me faster than a politician can grab tax money. We went full-speed (between the steel uprights of a huge directional sign) into a 10-foot-high snow-bank. THAT was one potentially BAD crash... Of course, no helmet back then. However... The Good Lord DOES look out for drunks and fools. I was SOBER, so that leaves the "alternative"... LOL! That fresh-plowed snow-bank was like a giant feather-pillow! Both me and the chopper went about 20-feet into the snow, without any damage to either of us. Sure was a wake-up call though. Took me an hour to drag the Harley out of that snow! I've been a VERY careful rider ever since!Ride safe, and keep off the ice... Leo

Thanks bvance554! As for oldchopperguy and his stories - they're half of what I love about this forum on their own, lol. Scary situation no doubt, Leo, but always good to hear when the hand of fate was there to say "not today." AND that's a good motivator for one to always wear a bucket!

Amen guys!
I've lived through some real "squeakers" over the past half-century... If I can pass along something that may help out you younger riders, I like to do so, and if it's a little entertaining at the same time, all the better!
Ride safe one and all!

experience speaks that it is usually funnier looking back a considerable amount of time than at the particular moment of education.

And now..... the anticipation!! As the Tom Petty song says, the waiting is, in fact, the hardest part. Still waiting on my tracking number from Killer, although I just filled out the form request for one today. No new updates to report other than that as of yet. Next week surely can't get here fast enough.
