More than likely the larger carb will perform better as long as the motor can take the larger air/fuel mixture and burn it efficiently there is no question.
Maybe we should try turbo charging a GY6 one day,,that will force air/fuel into the intake,,if it shows improvement with turbo then it certainly will with a bigger carb as long as its jetted accordingly.
Wonder if youtube has a turbo GY6 video? Ive seen Briggs turbo motors and was not impressed.

That stinks,, Good thing you still have it,,man if I ever catch anybody rough housing my scooter or anything of mine,,they are in for an whoopin...a GPS tracking device would be awesome,,then you can make a visit with the cops by your side.
I should look into one myself if they are reasonable..

I would take it apart and find a crate just like it came,,I bet one of those truck companies would do it for $100 or so...thats what i would look into,,call Yellow.
If not maybe a friend of a friend that drives a big truck would take it for you when he goes south...just saying.

I wonder if the slide is stuck...maybe the slide is not opening and allowing the needle to rise in the main to take fuel? Just a thought...

Yup,, It was setup like a snowmobile with a CVT,,that sucker ripped really hard!!!! My dad ended up putting a steel cable on it for the recoil,,the rope kept breaking from the compression..lol..it had to be at least a 250cc. One bada$$ motor they made!! I will never forget the sound the motor made when it spooled up,,it was quite demonic to say the least,,but I loved it!!!!

Best way to troubleshoot starter motor is to jump the solenoid like Alley said,,also checking for supply voltage at the starter lug while starter button is engaged.
Good grounding also...

Rules of being the first responder to an accident dictate an attempt at making the scene safe and calling for assistance before rendering aid. If the scene can't be made safe then you attempt to stay with the victim if possible informing the authorities that there was an accident with injuries and that the scene is not safe. You should if possible enlist a bystander when available to make the scene safe and make the 911 call for you. The second video with the red light runner was totally avoidable as the rider appeared to be counting down the pedestrian timer and did a hole shot the moment the light turned green without considering the turning traffic still in motion to his left. In the third you see the officer responding making the scene safe while getting assistance. I was thinking the same thing,,if he would have approached the light a bit more cautious,,he could have avoided that mess....always approach an intersection with all your senses fully alert! The only time I ever get off the edge of my seat and relax a bit is out in the country,,but then Im always on the lookout for animals...

Intersections are the most dangerous. You really need to look both ways twice, even if you have had the green for a while. This is the worst scooter crash I've ever seen, and the scooter had the green way before either the scooter or car entered the intersection: Ive seen this one before,, Those are the ones I always talk about jerry,,35mph at an intersection,,man you always have to be on your toes when approaching one,,if you cant see for some reason,,I hope you know Jesus...lol.Atleast the a-hole cager rung his bell on the jersey barrier afterwards.... I dont think the scooter rider was alive for long after that one,,and if he was,,hes going to have a long tough road ahead of him..my prayers go out...... Man if that chick was over to the left 6 inches more she would be road pizza,,how the heck do you fall asleep on a scooter, drunk, drugs, seizure maybe??

Do you have 12v at the red wire on the starter when you hit the button? If so,,I bet the starter motor is done finally from all that beating it took..lol If my motor doesn't start within the first 5 seconds I find out what is wrong with it,,be it no fuel, spark or compression before I crank it anymore..never understood why people would crank a battery dead so many times over... You might need a new starter now,,so after you get that make sure you have the timing dead nuts, spark, compression, and fuel first.I guarantee it will fire up..

I'm surprised that speeds weren't higher, even under adverse conditions. Back in 1962, my McCulloch MC 101 powered mini-bike easily topped 100 mph (on 5-inch wheels to boot)... If I recall those stone-age days, my "Big Mac" 2-stroke kart motor was around 9 cubic inches, or close to 150 cc and cranked out around 38 hp @ 21,000 rpm. A trio of those buzz-bombs on a go-kart gave you a REAL "E-Ticket-Ride"... LOL! Absolutely competitive with the FASTEST of today's crotch-rockets, from 0 to 60, 0 to 100 or 0 to over 200! I'd think a bone-stock Italian scooter of ANY make of 250 cc or better could break WELL over 100 mph when tuned and set up for top speed. Go for the gold, guys!Leo in Texas Hi Leo,, We had a McCulloch powered three wheeler back in the early 80s,,it was pull start,,I was too young to know how many CC's it was,,my pop said if I could start it,,i could ride it...needless to say I eventually got it started,,that thing was all out scary to ride man,,it would spin in a complete circle in the grass,,it had two little foot pegs up front to put your feet on,,and a big fiberglass body in the back, some small suspension springs front and back..man I miss those days!!
