If the line on the flywheel is above the T then it does look a tooth off..I never worked on a 50,,that is what this is right?

Glad your OK also,, These tires are so small and react very quick because of their size,, anytime you grab the front binders you need to be ready for any possible thing to happen,,in the rain i usually favor my rear brakes more than my front,,but thats just me,,its easier to handle a rear slide then a front wash.

Yeah,,you defianatly dont want to be in a chair sucking air from a machine and getting food pumped into your stomach from a needle thats for sure...so if a little bit of good safety equipment will help prevent that then all is well...Ive seen guys decked out in leather suits, full face buckets,$200 gloves, and boots get pulled from concrete drain pipes with their face mask full of blood and their head would fall into their chest cavity after you take the helmet off,,its all depends on how you crash, how fast you where going, and how you impact the stationary or moving object..lol
I do feel a little safer on a scooter that only does 60 MPH than on a crotch rocket that does 187 mph.Either way the proper protective gear will help save your life.
It funny about you women Kat!! My wife cant take the pain of a minor paper cut or bump/bruise,,but she had her first kid with no pain meds,,they even had to cut her a little so the baby would come out and she said it wasn't bad at all.Id rather slide down the road at 45 mph than give birth to a baby...heck with that!!!

....You may be able to draw more fuel through the same size jet if you have more vacuum,,just like more pressure behind a garden hose causes it to squirt farther with the same size nozzle. Very interesting thread bro...will be fun to follow.. Larger carbs on the same size intake port will create a smaller less powerful vacuum, I'm pretty sure we had a thread about that recently. It's the same amount of air being pulled by the engine, so a lager orifice results in a smaller vacuum effect. Looking forward to hearing about your results, I love being proven wrong when real world experiments work out, forces me to learn something! Well it aint gonna happen anytime soon jerry,,its -20 out here with wind...it will be zero monday and tues with no wind...my furnace is groaning.

First of all Geh we have to see how much fuel and air these GY6 motors will handle before they choke,,with bigger valves, ported heads, cam and all there is no question,,but we have to find out if a stock motor will benefit from a bigger carb first,,and if that is true then yes a bigger carb is an upgrade..also would there be a limit to how big of a jet a smaller carb will take before it doesn't have enough air to mix correctly.
Lots of testing needs to be done on this subject...Im going to experiment with my stock carb and see how it performs compared when I get some time..
Plus if the smaller carb where to pull more fuel up the main it would need more air to burn the fuel,,so my thoughts are yes there will be a limit,,and Im sure its around the 125-130 range before it starts choking rich. Also wonder how much a 1" exhaust will take before it starts having an restrictive effect on the air coming in,,if the air cant get out fast enough,,more air wont come in...
You may be able to draw more fuel through the same size jet if you have more vacuum,,just like more pressure behind a garden hose causes it to squirt farther with the same size nozzle.
Very interesting thread bro...will be fun to follow..

Harbor Freight has a great float charger for like $10,,I leave it on my scoot battery all Winter,,and every time I hit the button that sucker spins like a top...best thing for a battery in the winter IMO.

Well if the wires feeding the starter are bad a new starter motor wont solve the problem,,i had a bad ground wire once and the starter turned over very slow,,the wire would get really hot and start melting the insulation,,i replaced the wire and all was good.
So make sure none of the wires are getting hot and burning through insulation from high resistance..before buying a starter. Wire is cheaper than a motor.

I think John thought it might be hydro locked with fuel and oil but its not,if it was there would be a mess coming out of the exhaust and plug hole. That starter sounds really gritty too me,,maybe its just me Wonder if it will fire if you put a little fuel in the spark plug hole then put the plug in tight and try? Is it cranking over faster now with the plug in and a battery jump,,or is it still stopping before compression stroke like it was?

Hmmmmmm,,,no wonder it wont start,,I think he has the valve cover grounded to batt and the small wire to frame,,maybe somebody switched them around...this is getting intresting,,DONT QUIT BRO,,YOU WILL GET IT,,WE ARE THE BEST GY6 SCOOTER TECHS ON THE NET!!!

You can hook the cables directly to the battery or clip the negative to a good ground like the CVT housing. It doesn't matter,,you are just paralleling another(known good) battery into the circuit.
