Please check back in when you receive the exhaust. I have ordered a number of things from AliExpress and some have arrived within 10 days and others taken close to a month. I have been happy with everything I have bought off of there.

I learned this trick in small engine repair class in high school 40 years ago and have used this method on many types of small engines, lawn mowers, chainsaws, outboards, etc. over the years. I posted about it on a small engine forum and had a lot of replies saying what a terrible idea it was. The naysayers, some downright rude, slowed down when I provided a link to a workshop manual by Tecumseh or some other outfit saying to use a rope to block the piston. I used a nylon rope whenever I did it.

Just returned from Hawaii a couple weeks ago. While there a young couple in our party rented 50cc Chinese scooters for a couple days. The young lady ran into something and damaged the plastic nosepiece and the piece beneath the floorboard. Both were just cracked and not in pieces. I didn't immediately spot the damage until she showed it to me. Not too bad I thought.

When they turned the scooter in, the outfit said don't worry about the damages, happens all the time, but you will have to pay for the damage. I ran into them on Easter and asked about the scooter. They received a bill for $1800.

I don't know if they are going to contest it or just suck it up and pay. I'd bet dollars to donuts that scooter is still being rented out without any work having being done to it.

I feel really bad for this kid, $1800 is a lot of money to kiss goodbye when your 21 years old. Easily twice what the scooter cost.

You could cut a piece of thin plywood to fit and glue it in with gorrilla glue. That is how I solved the same problem with a busted up luggage box.

I recently saw a Lifan motorcycle for sale on the local Craigslist. The ad mentioned it had a GY5 engine. Makes it sound like it's a GY6 with gears.

The method described above works well but if the decal was put on before a coat of clear you end up with noticeable lines where the decal once was.

Had the same thing happen. I got a 150cc head, jug and piston for just a few dollars more than I was finding for just the head. I just used the head as I didn't want to go through a break in period. One of these days I will put the 150 cylinder onto my 125 and use the existing head. Somewhat of a BBK if you will.
