That does look like a nice exhaust . how much room do you have between the shocks and the muffler ?

Awesome. So its a smaller muffler. Cool. Im glad its not the huge ebay muffler half the length of the scoot. Haha. I like a smaller muffler. Thanks for the video Hey!! I have one of those . i actually like the longer ones ,lol. Sometimes the smaller ones look too small.

I would not use any. These exhaust studs come loose very easy " that is the stock ones " the main thing is not over tightening them. I would use the red loctite and make sure you do not overtighten . this way you do not have to crank down on them and you know they should stay in place. That's usually why these things break . everyone keeps cranking them down because they seem loose or keep coming loose.

What you want to do is disconnect the fueline from the carb, then see if it wants to start with starting fluid. Your needle valve may be stuck open letting in too much fuel. You can usually smell the gas if the scoot is flooding . I just had an 80cc Honda elite that was not starting . actually it would start and idle for a few seconds , then it would shut down and not start for about 40 mins or so. The valves were tight and the carb needed adjusted. I did the valve adjust first but the scoot still would not start . after I did a good carb adjustment , the scoot fired up and ran great.
When it comes to your lights , that has to be an electrical issue.

Well my problem has been solved. It appears that it was the gas cap. I now have been riding the scooter for 3 days and it has not died once. Thanks for the input guys. Now to just fix the tire. It is noticeably bumpy at 50 MPH, when I called a scooter shop a while back they suggested Dynabeads? anyone used these? Are they the stock tires ? If so , just get new ones . the stock tire are know for being , well , very cheap unreliable tires.

Are you asking if you should just use that one gasket ,or possibly two gaskets together ? Many of us only use the one metal ncy type gasket on our free flow exhausts. I just recently heard that some use this gasket along with the round crush type gasket , but its usually not necessary to use both gaskets together. The metal ncy type is best. Ok, whats in the picture is what i have? You can just use that one .

Just keep at it buddy . its sometimes frustrating because we can only do so much to help " since we are not there" . but it seems u have just about got it going and you seem to have the tuning down pretty good. You may even wan to try a 125 main. I'm running a 125 and my scoot is sucking down the gas. I get about 60mpg and I'm a little on the rich side.

You must be careful when buying a performance exhaust and header from eBay. I paid between 100-$120 for my HP exhaust from eBay. The header that came with mine was much wider then the stock header. Some of the HP headers are the exact same as stock , but just chromed out. I've had mine for about 4 years now with no issues. Its just like everything else when it comes to eBay, you have to be careful . its best to look around and talk to others before purchasing an exhaust from eBay. This way you know what sellers to use, and which ones to stay away from .

Listen to Rcq ! He is 100% right about the h4 bulbs. Over last summer I noticed the h4 bulbs resembled the socket that my headlight bulbs sat in. After hitting a deer and talking to rcq , he encouraged me to give it a shot and use the h4 bulb. It was the best mod I've done when it comes to seeing at night and for safety. I tried fog lights with little success. But the H4 bulbs are perfect. D'jew ever install your 11-pole and turn both those puppies on George? No , not yet . I'm still just running one.

good news! the stock cdi seems to have resolved the problem. it fires up very quickly, hot or cold. possibly there's a setting on the adjustable one that gets close to this because there seems to be less torque and it doesn't accelerate nearly as quickly, especially once the variator starts adjusting. tightening the block bolts seems to have cured the oil leak. thank you to everyone for help diagnosing this. it's all great information! Sounds great !! I hope you have everything figured out so you can now enjoy riding your scoot.

This is a pic of the cardboard and foil gasket that came with my new studs. I bought new studs because one of mine broke off and it developed a loud exhaust leak. What other gaskets should i use? Are you asking if you should just use that one gasket ,or possibly two gaskets together ? Many of us only use the one metal ncy type gasket on our free flow exhausts. The one I removed put on by the shop was the same size. Also, scrappy dog website says that's the right size for long case scoots. A long case 50cc must be different from a long case 150cc. The 150cc long case takes either an 835 or an 842/20/30 .

My darn chrome swingarm broke about a year ago !! One of the muffler mounts broke at the weld and also cracked the swingarm. I had to put the stock one back on . the chrome one was put together like crap. It was very weak.
