And Whats up with the Ricer Fly By? Slammed Acura, Intake this, Fart can that. Do you enjoy having your arse handed to you every time on 311? Come up with some more, you bore me. I thought u meant the farm truck always racing those types of cars. I was surprised the foreign car did as good as it did, although it still got slammed.

You lost me there ?, lol are you talking about the farm truck. If so , yeah his truck is way to heavy to race the others . actually he has been racing as the " trash man" at #11 on the list . anyone who wants on the list must first beat the farm truck. Its like a test , if you can't beat the farm truck , then you don't deserve to be on the list. He raced on the California episode and actually one !! Buy a bus length , lol.

I believe that tool fits into the holes on the variator fan , then you can use a socket and wrench to take the variator off. You can probably use it with the clutch also. Measure the holes on the variator . how far apart are they ?

Im installing a 100cc bbk. Will a 53mm piston ring compresser work, or do i need a tool 50mm or less? Use a stainless steel clamp (the kind you will get at Home depot). The bottom of the jug is tapered, and in theory you can just (gently) work the piston/rings up with sufficient assembly lube (I've doe so). But it's risky with the flimsy rings on these things, so better to use a clamp to compress them. I was able to just compress the rings with my fingers and slide them into the tapered cylinder. But I'm just that good , lol. Actually I threw the rings over the piston " like playing ring toss" and then gave it a mean look. Worked like a charm

He said its beneath the kickstart and in front of the rear brake cable. It has to be the rear tire . I would think.

I've never seen that before. What does the other side look like ? Is it going into the CVT or under it ?

How's it going ? The CVT is the cheapest , easiest way to up the scoots performance. The coil , cdi , and plug are good upgrades but you will not get much out of them when it comes to increase speed or torque. Light roller weights and slightly stronger clutch springs will help with takeoff and top end. Just don't go too light on the weights. You want to be able to hit near 7500 rpms on a straight run to be able to take full advantage of the scoots power. Down long hills you don't want to be able to exceed 8000 rpms. It can be time consuming getting the CVT tuned properly , but its worth it. Next I would do a carb and exhaust mod. A bigger carb and a high flow exhaust will do wonders. With these mods you should have no problem hitting 60+ " that's real mph , not going by the speedo , which are usually off on these scoots " . when I say bigger carb, I would go with a 26mm if keeping the stock bore. Maybe upjet to a 115-120 main jet.

Ive only changed the belt once and I couldn't tell the brand of the old one. I think that I may have some tranny issues too. The v guides are on the variator right? if those are the v guides they are fine. I have not however checked or added any gear oil ever First thing, check and replace the gear oil. Next , buy a good gates belt. I've have a cheap Kevlar no name belt brake in exactly 300 miles. Most cheap belts are just that, cheap belts. Its better just to cut them and wear them around you waist . lol.

Well im not leaking Oil like I was before. no blow by but I do get 2 small quarter sized spots under the bike after rides longer than 5 miles. i rode 40 miles one day then had to put in about 350 ml of oil. either it dried up or leaked out during the ride. Other than that only problem is my flippin belt just broke again... The most important issue right now is finding where the oil is coming from .this will point u in the right direction.

Any ideas why my cvt belt would break again on my 150cc gy6 after only 3 weeks of being replaced? Ofc I got the cheapest chinese belt I could find but i want to say that a chinese belt should last at least a year. Were your other belts cheap China belts or did you have gates belts break also ? I believe you had gates belts break too, right ? If so , you have a CVT issue. For some reason you have either belt slippage , or bad tranny bearings causing too much tension on the belt. How are the plastic v-slide guides holding up ? If they are not broken or cracked , I'd lean towards slippage. If they are broken , I'd say you have tranny bearing issues.

Yep , that's sorta what I was getting at ,lol. This could be a few different things. I'm still sorta stuck on the CVT, since it seems to have good power after pickup. I would like to know how much the rider weighs , and how many miles on her. The valves could need adjusted , and the CVT may have a junk stock worn out belt with heavy stock rollers. Id like to hear a little more about the scoot . as in the mileage, rpm levels at takeoff and top end. Also dose it bog or hesitate at any point. A compression test is always good and also a good place to start. The main thing that stands out that may point to compression is the lack of power when hitting hills. This may sound dumb , but how do your rear brakes feel . it would be funny if the rear drum brakes where too tight and rubbing , lol. More then likely not. It would be pretty darn noticeable . the rear brake lever would be very stiff.

Hey everyone. I recently purchased a 2014 taotao 150. I was told it just needed a petcock. It does great on flat land. Starts up fine, has decent power while driving. As soon as I stop at a stop sign etc.it takes forever to get back up to speed. If I hit a hill,it's like it doesn't even want to try to climb it. I have to literally get off and push it. Lol I really don't know much about this one. My 49cc was much easier to work on and such. Can anyone give me some pointers to try? I would greatly appriciate any and all help I could get. Are you getting any hesitation or bogging ? If no bogging or hesitating its more than likely a CVT issue , however its not always that simple.these scoots sometimes will throw you a few curve balls , lol. The CVT is made up of the drive belt , variator and clutch assembly. the CVT cover is on the left side of the scoot. To check the CVT you will need to remove the cover, remove the variator and the clutch . you will need an impact wrench to remove the variator and the clutch. You will need a 17mm socket also. After doing this , we would like it if you can post some Picts of the CVT , before you remove everything and after. Pics of the belt , roller weights" inside the variator" , clutch pads, variator and clutch pulley faces. This way we can give you some pointers on what the problem may be. What top speed are you running right now. You will come to find that the speedo may be pretty inaccurate.
