First... Welcome to the forum frost.

How you describe your problem, it sounds like the CVT needs to be tuned. The acceleration problem would be solved by changing the weight of the rollers in your variator. Do you know the weight you have now? Typically 150cc scoots needs 12 or 13 gram rollers. And where do your RPMs top out at. It should top out around 6500-7000 RPMs.

Once you have your variator dialed in, and you still have problems with hills. The next step would be changing the contra spring. But I would recommend dialing in the variator first.

Are you getting any hesitation or bogging ? If no bogging or hesitating its more than likely a CVT issue , however its not always that simple.these scoots sometimes will throw you a few curve balls , lol. The CVT is made up of the drive belt , variator and clutch assembly. the CVT cover is on the left side of the scoot. To check the CVT you will need to remove the cover, remove the variator and the clutch . you will need an impact wrench to remove the variator and the clutch. You will need a 17mm socket also. After doing this , we would like it if you can post some Picts of the CVT , before you remove everything and after. Pics of the belt , roller weights" inside the variator" , clutch pads, variator and clutch pulley faces. This way we can give you some pointers on what the problem may be.
What top speed are you running right now. You will come to find that the speedo may be pretty inaccurate.

Do a compression test, for hills and takeoff the CVT can only take advantage of the power available. Tuning the CVT will help, but it may mask other problems.

Yep , that's sorta what I was getting at ,lol. This could be a few different things. I'm still sorta stuck on the CVT, since it seems to have good power after pickup. I would like to know how much the rider weighs , and how many miles on her. The valves could need adjusted , and the CVT may have a junk stock worn out belt with heavy stock rollers. Id like to hear a little more about the scoot . as in the mileage, rpm levels at takeoff and top end. Also dose it bog or hesitate at any point. A compression test is always good and also a good place to start. The main thing that stands out that may point to compression is the lack of power when hitting hills. This may sound dumb , but how do your rear brakes feel . it would be funny if the rear drum brakes where too tight and rubbing , lol. More then likely not. It would be pretty darn noticeable . the rear brake lever would be very stiff.

Sorry,haven't really had a chance to work on her. Been working crazy hours lately. But no,it doesn't hesitate or bog down any. She'll run about 50 on flat land with no problem. I only weigh about 140. The bolts on the covers on both sides looked stripped,so I'll have to work on getting them out first thing. And also,is there somewhere I can download a manual or something. I don't think the previous owner has the hoses in the right spots from the carb. One hose bib has nothing on it at all. Also,how do I check the valves? I would usually expect to have some sort of bogging or hesitation if it were an air fuel issue. But its still good to check. I'm still stuck on it being a CVT issue . its also a good idea to check the valves. Just let us know when you are ready and we will walk you through it.

Ok,just an update. I fiddled with it a bit,replaced a couple air suction hoses,new petcock,cleaned the carb real good. It rides great,had it up to about 60mph today....But...it has problems taking off. Not actually going UP the hills. But once I get her going,it's an amazing ride,until a red light or stop sign...It doesn't have an air/fuel adjustment on the carb. So I am still concidering new belt and roller weights?? Maybe??
