I agree the initial sluggishness could be solved with some CVT tuning. I would suggest lowering your roller weights by a gram or two. Do you know what weight you have right now. A roller tuning kit is a very valuable tool. They allow you to test which weight would be perfect for your situation before you purchase a quality set of ideal weights. If you skip on the set, 12g is typically a good weight for 150cc. You want to have a good takeoff and RPMs to top off around 7500 RPMs. www.partsforscooters.com/169-449-Hoca-18-14-GY6-Roller-Weight-Tuning-Kit

It could also be an extremely worn/stretched out belt. Or, the wrong size belt on there. That would basically disable the CVT. You need to do the compression test, adjust the valves(look on youtube, lots of vids), and get that CVT open.

Ok,I did the valves. They were all the way tightened. I put them at .005 it does take off much better, but now there is a little rattle coming from them. Should I go to .004? My weights will be in today. I ordered the 12 grams weights and hge variator tool. I'll order a belt this weekend. My only concern now it the valves rattling. Thanx a lot for all the help. It made a great difference so far.

Yes, a slight tap is good, rattling is probably a bit lose.

Yes, a slight tap is good, rattling is probably a bit lose. I agree with JerryScript. If the noise is too annoying you could set the valves to .003inch intake and .004inch exhaust. They will be a little more quieter, but you will have to check them more often. That's what I have my 150cc set at. I check them every other oil change. Just remember, a light ticking is good, rattle or banging is bad. Once the ticking goes away, you are overdue for checking them.

Ok,put a new belt and roller weights on her. She rides amazing now. It sounds like my belt is hitting against my case. Is it too big? I got a 842/20/30 I couldn't tell what size the old one was,so I googled it.
