Those screws can and do vibrate loose and fall out. Take the hose with you to a hardware store and find one that is the right fit. Some people use silicone sealant on the end of the fitting, once the screw is in place, to keep it from vibrating loose. If they ever need to take the screw out to drain the carb the sealant can be cut/pulled right off.

Check your fuse, it sounds like it has blown. It should be in a plastic holder on the smaller of the two wires that come off of your positive battery terminal. Don't just look at it, use a meter or a test light as they can look good thru the glass and still be bad.

If the gas is leaking from the end of a long hose with a metal fitting on the end of it, it just means you lost the screw out of the end and need to replace it. If the gas is leaking out of the short (3 inch or so long) hose with a degree bend in it then it means the float valve in your carb is not closing all of the way, allowing the carb bowl to over fill.

I usually switch to synthetic around 800 to 1000 miles. 10W40 is what I use.

The standard carb on a 50cc gy6 engine doesn't have a vacuum port. The pictures you are probably seeing are those of a carb on a 150cc gy6 engine. Those carbs have an ACV valve on them that uses vacuum to help prevent a lean condition on deceleration.

Sometimes the bendix gets gunked up from all of the belt dust in the CVT. Take it out and clean it with carb cleaner. Let it dry then lightly lubricate it with white lithium grease. If that doesn't help, replace it with a new one.

Check the core in the tire valve stems. Sometimes they get loose and can be the cause of slow leaks. I had that issue on the front tire of one of my scooters. Thought I was going to have to buy a new tire. Before I did I checked the valve core and it took almost 1 1/2 turns to tighten down. Over a year now and no more leak.
