Cannot change from 10" to 12" rims due to the tire hitting the frame. Big problem trying to convert from drum to disc, it would be cheaper to buy a new scooter with disc and 12" tires. Alleyoop

well I definitely don't have the money to buy a new one but I need to get the tires fixed at the least the brakes aren't that HUGE of an issue but the slow leak of the tires is ... and the bike only has 1800 miles as well....

Check the core in the tire valve stems. Sometimes they get loose and can be the cause of slow leaks. I had that issue on the front tire of one of my scooters. Thought I was going to have to buy a new tire. Before I did I checked the valve core and it took almost 1 1/2 turns to tighten down. Over a year now and no more leak.

If your tires are TUBELESS, please do replace the valves while you're working on the wheels. The originals from China can give real problems. My tubeless tires had factory valve-stems that came apart, and if that happens while riding, it can be dangerous. My rear tire also had an annoying slow leak. It was at the rim... Breaking the bead loose and applying some bead-sealer fixed that. If your tires have tubes, that's a different story. New tubes should fix that. If you fill your tires up hard, and spray "Windex" or liquid soap around the valves and rims, you can usually spot the source of the leak.
I'd think the drum-brakes would be OK at 50cc speeds. When I was young (long, LONG ago) cable-pull drum-brakes were all we had on our motorcycles (Harley, Triumph, BSA, etc. even a Honda 305 Super Hawk) At highway speeds, they were sort of "marginal" but still OK when you got used to them.
As for the small wheels, if the scoot is in good alignment they should be fine. I recently rode a new Vespa with 11" front and 10" rear wheels and it was just fine even at 70 mph.
That's a BEAUTIFUL little scooter, and if 50cc speeds are adequate for your needs, I think you'll like it fine once you get used to it. If it turns out that you actually need a larger engine scoot, start saving your pennies... They aren't all that expensive, and you can sell the 50 for nearly as much as you paid for it.
Sincerely,
Leo in Texas
