Hello all....
I have a Gy6 150 scoot, Took a 15 mile ride last night and when I got home and pulled in the garage I noticed a small trail of gasoline following the scooter and a puddle forming underneath. All this was AFTER the scooter was turned off.
It's leaking from the carb overflow tube and is a constant stream while it's running and continues for over a minute after I it off. Stock carb and petcock (pump), New-ish fuel filter. Was wondering if this could be the petcock going bad or just a carb problem?
Thanks in advance!!!

Also, is there supposed to be a plug on the end of the drain hose? Everywhere I saw an answer on forums was to plug this line with a screw but I was afraid that could cause other problems.

If the gas is leaking from the end of a long hose with a metal fitting on the end of it, it just means you lost the screw out of the end and need to replace it. If the gas is leaking out of the short (3 inch or so long) hose with a degree bend in it then it means the float valve in your carb is not closing all of the way, allowing the carb bowl to over fill.

Cool thanks!
It is the long hose with the metal fitting on it. Just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't screw anything up by plugging the hose.

Those screws can and do vibrate loose and fall out. Take the hose with you to a hardware store and find one that is the right fit. Some people use silicone sealant on the end of the fitting, once the screw is in place, to keep it from vibrating loose. If they ever need to take the screw out to drain the carb the sealant can be cut/pulled right off.

The screw was actually still in there and just loose, I snugged it up real good and will probably do the silicone trick the next time I am working in the garage....2800 miles and this is my first "problem" so I can't complain much Thanks!!!

I have a gy6 150cc scooter & I am having the same problem with the gas leak except it is coming from the 3 inch short hose. What do I need to do to fix the problem?
