I love my "classic style" trikes. I will not own one with two wheels in front. To me they look funny.

Sounds like a good deal, get it in writing. I have a small lot on the lake of the Ozarks that I have a trailer on. It has city water elec., and septic. My taxes are about $70 dollars a year on it. If I build a cabin or Put any kind of permanent structure on it my taxes will go up a bunch. I also have 5 acres about 10 miles north the lake That I am building a cabin on and my taxes more than doubled from $120 a year to over $300. So to me $30 bucks a year for taxes seems low but it may be the county you are in. I paid 5 grand for the lot in town plus about 3 more grand to have the septic, water and elec. put in. I paid 9 grand for the 5 acre lot.

I only get 3 rows of stuff. The forum banner, an add, and the scrolling pictures.

I'm guessing the gears wont mesh properly unless you change the 13 tooth gear. The 33 tooth gear you are going to us is either smaller in diameter than the original 44 tooth gear, or if it is the same diameter the pitch of the teeth will be different.
I have two sets of gears one is 16/50 and the other is 16/42. The first set has a 16 tooth gear that measures 28.15mm in diameter and the 50 tooth gear measures 79.50mm in diameter. The second set has a 16 tooth gear that measures 31.85mm in diameter and the 42 tooth gear measures 76.40mm in diameter. Even though both sets use a 16 tooth gear, the diameter of the gears is different and the pitch of the teeth are different.

Question,How many rings total do you have in your kit? If it is a four stroke you should have 5 rings total. The first ring, the second ring, a thin top and bottom oil ring, and a wavy oil ring. A photo of the markings on the top ring. I used a magnifying glass to enlarge. The second ring. This is one of the oil rings, there is no markings. All three oil rings. Roy

[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto]The first link is an intake manifold spacer. I use a sheet of header gasket material From Mr Gasket I get at an auto parts store. The stuff is tough but can be cut with an x- acto knife.

I can't say if the 139qmb gears are interchangeable with a 2t engine or not. I don't have experience with the 2t engine. But the gears in a 139qmb short case will interchange with the gears in a 139qmb long case.

The set of 50mm rings I'm sitting here looking at has a chrome top ring with TJo stamped on the top side The black second ring has D stamped on the top. The thinner oil rings are black with a silver lip.
The top rings are usually all silver or all copper colored but can also be black with a marking on the top. I have not seen them with different colored lips. Though it is possible. If they are not marked you may need to look at the edge and see if it has a bevel. some rings have a single bevel and some are double beveled.

The locator dowel pins are in different locations on the two pumps. The pump on the left in the photo uses a 47 tooth driven gear and the pump on the right uses a 33 tooth driven gear. Notice the location of the dowel pins. Roy

I got a 33 tooth gear and oil pump to match from parts for scooters. The drive gear on the crank will have 16 teeth and the pump driven gear will have 33 teeth. the 33 tooth gear is held on to the pump shaft with a nut.

The trikes have a weight disadvantage. So yes they are a little slower. But with the right mods they can be as fast. But as far as trikes go the 150's have a better power to weight ratio than the other sizes.
As far as handling, my 50 trike doesn't shimmy at all even at 50mph. My magnum doesn't shimmy either, but does start to vibrate at speeds over 80mph. This is due to the quality of tires and the bearings in the rear pivot points. It can be fixed with some upgrades. As with any vehicle you drive/ride you need to know the capabilities and limits. If you know what to expect they are not unpredictable. I push my 50 to the limit on a small race course I have and have had it on two wheels many times. But I know what to expect and can correct it. I haven't flipped it yet. Once you learn the capabilities and limits, they are not any more unpredictable or dangerous than a two wheeler.

I have discussed this in another thread. The 69mm valves will measure about 10mm above the head. The 69mm will measure about 5mm above the head. Or you can measure the distance between the valve stems. 69mm valves will be about 77.5mm apart and 64mm valves will 73.5mm apart. Roy

Only $40 bucks. I think I'll get one, just cause I'm a gadget junkie. ;D I'd like to find a remote kill switch though.

I'm bettin' it would take more than 2 people to pick up a 600 pound trike and throw it in a truck. My little trike weights in at almost 300 pounds. They get parked in the garage when not in use.
