My father owns 2 cabins at Truman Lake and is willing to sale me one. It is 24 x 20 ft has a restroom, living room with 2 futons, another bedroom with bunk beds and day bed, another restroom started with tub, sink, and spot for toilet.. Has a shower room in a shed size building and another compost toilet. Has a well for running indoor plumbing and hotwater tank all works. We went on a little vacation and air conditioner works good and may need cosmetic work to outside. But in fair condition. My father said he would sale it to us on time. Meaning $200 per month for 10 years and it would be ours. It has a hot tub out front- with a 20 x 10 deck.. I think it is a good deal. I told my father we will buy it on time.. Attachments:

Be sure you get everything in a legal contract, it will protect both of you.

Be sure you get everything in a legal contract, it will protect both of you. Mom loaned me the money for my scooter. She had a cd that came due right then, so I paid her back something like 4% interest which was way more than any cd rate but less than the (I think) 6% a loan would've cost me. We had no contract, no nothing. I paid her every month, she subtracted every month from the total. No receipts. And no problems either. But based on Judge Judy, I suppose getting a contract is good advice, just in case. Lots of angry broken families out there because of money owed. So when's the house-warming party?! >'Kat

It is about 75 feet x 120 feet. Not the biggest lot but there are nicer cabins around the same size, in the area. We are going to fix it up and makes a good vacation spot. ;D We done a little investigate on the price, just for a lot. $16,000.. So we are getting the cabin, well, shower building for $8000... Ya, there will be a contract, to protect me and my father. We basically will give him $200 per month, pay $30 for taxes each year, $50 toward dues( the other cabins pay dues to upkeep at road), get electric in our name. It is a work in progress basically. We will reroof it, put new siding on it, make the from patio a screen room. Insulate it a little better.

Sounds like a good deal, get it in writing. I have a small lot on the lake of the Ozarks that I have a trailer on. It has city water elec., and septic. My taxes are about $70 dollars a year on it. If I build a cabin or Put any kind of permanent structure on it my taxes will go up a bunch. I also have 5 acres about 10 miles north the lake That I am building a cabin on and my taxes more than doubled from $120 a year to over $300. So to me $30 bucks a year for taxes seems low but it may be the county you are in. I paid 5 grand for the lot in town plus about 3 more grand to have the septic, water and elec. put in. I paid 9 grand for the 5 acre lot.
