Am I the only person who finds the huge four rows of pictures in the header a nuisance when browsing the forum? For every page load I have to scroll a full page and a bit down, even with my large 1680 x 1050 screen. Is there some way to cut it down a bit please?

I've had that happen a couple of times---usually if I refresh the page once or twice it fixes it. I know what you mean---- instead of the pics scrolling, it has 3-4 rows of still pics. I think proboards has just been glitchy lately. I've also noticed every now and then when people are quoting others, it doesn't appear in a "quote box". Actually every day I see it-- the quote issue.
Edit: Or are you talking about scrolling past the "scrolling" header, that has 4 pics max on it at once?

I wonder if he's talking about the header, the ad under it, the scooter ad under that, and the scrolling photos under that.
I dunno, hasn't bothered me. I just flick two fingers to scroll past them. Haven't given it any thought.

three rows include the title, then two ads, and the fourth bit for me is the pictures, sometimes a single scrolling row, or like now, 6 rows, = the thread starts a long way down the page. less annoying with a PC and a mouse, more annoying on the laptop with a touchpad, and I wouldnt even bother trying this forum on the Android I think I've attached a screen shot - I did shrink everything and go to full full screen, so there are fewer rows of pics Attachments:

I only get 3 rows of stuff. The forum banner, an add, and the scrolling pictures.

howdy and welcome to the forum. i have also found the virtical real estate to be a hassle. as someone said , even with a large display the threads start below view. i don't mind the ads etc but just wish they would take up less virtical space or be switchable where once you have viewed them they can be switched off. or maybe only come up on the home screen and not on subsequent screens.

Now that I'm on another computer though, the scrolling thing works fine now. On my phone it takes ages to scroll down, but I think it's to do with my phone browser blocking the script that runs the scrolling pictures. Oh and I'm this guy from the previous forum - just didn't register here until now  |

I have that problem sometimes... but I can't remember if it happens at work or home.... I use a mac(s) at home and a pc at work running a ancient browser.

Looks like the scrolling function isn't working for you, steve and aristo. Instead you're getting all the photos displayed at once. But how to fix/change/correct it? Sorry, I'm almost as computer non-savvy as I am non-mechanicky.  >'Kat |

i always get one row of auto-scrolling pics. guessing different browsers may have alternate effects. i'm using chrome.

The picture display changes hour to hour, at work or home. I normally always use firefox. Sometimes a refresh works, sometimes not.
Either way there is always a full page or more to scroll down before you get to any threads.
