That's all I could find. I pretty familiar with the kymco line, that's the only step-thru 300

Still confused here. That's a pic, the silver scoot, of a S200. I still can't find a 300cc People that was a US release prior to the GT300i.
I'm not busting balls just trying to figure it out.

Almost forgot. The currant GT300i is a great scooter, if you like tall bikes. It's smooth, fast, has very good breaks and is a true step thru if you like flat floors.
It's more than fast enough even two-up for jaunts on the freeway. Still small and lite enough to flick around in town. One up you can loose your license without a problem, its fast.
If you don't like the maxis this along with the BV and SportCity are about the only choice in that displacement . Opps forgot the Vespas.

I'm not sure what a kymco people gti300 is. I can't find specs on a 300 with 15" wheels. I am not aware of any people series other than 125,150,200 and the 250. The first 300 as far as I know is he currant model the gt300i. Most all maxis are boat like. www.kymcousa.com/showroom/index_onroad.htmlI saw a review buy a guy in Croatia .......are you sure this was a US release ?

I am currently using a 6 foot long 9/16" steel cable (with kevlar reinforcing) lock on the front wheel and a second identical cable lock on the rear wheel. Both of these go around one of the posts holding up the roof of the carport at my apartment. i also have a disc brake lock on the front wheel. I have no alarms (people tend to ignore them due to the great number of false alarms) My last defense against loss is my $50.00 deductible insurance.and the best line of defence to be made whole after a theft.

I've read this from numerous members here, and have experienced firsthand the sheer joy of trying to undo bolts and nuts that make impact wrenches weep. Why do they put them on with enough force to hammer in rivets? Do they not have torque wrenches in China? (EOR) Except for the ones they don't tighten at all! at least its the opposite of what we always hear. ;D

Happy to hear you're going to be gearing up.
Another thing about Saftey gear is getting over black. I know its cool looking and has been the color of choice for bikers for years but it works against you. People dont see the guy in black well.
HiVis. I know its the color of road workers everywhere. They wear it because they want to live and so should we. No it doesn't say "biker" like black does but you will be seen.
Besides if you're concerned about being hot blacks the worst choice.

So after reading this yesterday i looked online for something that I might be able to feel comfortable in and is also in a sort of affordable price range and thought maybe I could wear something like this, UNDER a baggy t-shirt; www.revzilla.com/motocross/troy-lee-bp-7850-hot-weather-armored-shirtAlthough it does not protect elbow down, they have a long sleeve version too for the same price. I wonder though if it will look odd at all, or fit the shape of my upper body under a shirt. Does anyone own one of these? Generally Motocross Armor which is designed for hitting loose packed dirt tracks will not provide much protection from a paved roadway. You can get a real armored mesh jacket designed for street use for similar or even at half the cost of that particular MotoCross shirt. Yepper. I would look at rockys earlier link: www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Mesh-Motorcycle-Jackets/Xelement-Mens-Silver-Igniter-Tri-Tex-Fabric-and-Mesh-Motorcycle-Jacket/53267.htmlGood protection on the cheap. I didn't need another jacket but for that price I ordered one.

This gear isn't for the crash that kills you it's for the one you survive. Skin makes a crappy brake pad and its no fun having somebody pick road grime out of shredded skin.
When I need "evaporative cooling" I do it like we did back in the day on the HD. Wet a tee shirt, hold on boys not that kind of wet tee, put it on then a jacket. Leave cuffs open enough for air flow and you'll be chilly on a 90degree day.
Repeat as needed.

It's also a good idea to chage oil before winter storage. Old oil has some nasty acids in it.

Love/hate.
Love the cargo space hate the look, hate the rattle. I now use a bikers friend bag. Tons of room, easy to remove and no rattle.
