The experience comes from troubleshooting...the troubleshooting comes from the link to the 'No spark' document. There really is no easy answer except troubleshooting to rule things out. With an exception..some of us such as myself are parts/repair places. If I suspect a bad CDI I swap in a known good one..cause I have bunches of new ones.

No..Fortune cookies are not really Chinese..just as Pizza is not really Italian. Both were invented by Americans in New York City...yup.. Hi Glenn Your partially correct on the fortune cookies Fortune cookies are often served as a dessert in Chinese restaurants in the United States and some other countries, but are absent in China. The exact provenance of fortune cookies is unclear, though various immigrant groups in California claim to have popularized them in the early 20th century, basing their recipe on a traditional Japanese cracker. Fortune cookies have been summarized as being "introduced by the Japanese, popularized by the Chinese, but ultimately ... consumed by Americans." Way off on the Pizza Considered a peasant's meal in Italy for centuries we cannot say who invented the very first pizza pie. Food historians agree that pizza like dishes were eaten by many peoples in the Mediterranean including the Greeks and Egyptians. However, modern pizza has been attributed to baker Raffaele Esposito of Naples. In 1889, Esposito who owned a restaurant called the Pizzeria di Pietro baked what he called "pizza" especially for the visit of Italian King Umberto I and Queen Margherita. Take care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank Thanks for clarifying...it only goes to prove..all we read on the net is not true. Darn New Yorkers trying to take credit for both.. But ex military as you are too...Pizza in Italy is a bit different than American Pizza. In Sigonella and Naples I would not eat the Pizza...it had bizzarre stuff on it I have never seen or heard of. I love fish..eat it literally on a daily basis..hence a total cholesterol of 102.. HOWEVER..who in their right mind puts fish or any other seafood on Pizza?.. Then ya got Calzone...I mean ? If you want that..just buy a Pizza and fold it in half....same thing. Main thing I did not like about Italy...the food NEVER stops...they just keep bringing you more...and seem to take it as an insult if you say you are full...or don't want anymore. Meanwhile...over in America at a restaurant...you family is being served as little as possible...costing as much as possible..

Mant times Scoots get laid on there side when shipped. As you know 4 strokes engines are filled with oil...lay it flat on its side and it can leak from several places. When I sold Scoots I would occasionally get a few they shipped on their side. Your foam oil filter should not be oiled...that reduces airflow. It should be dry. UNI filters and other racing type filters get oiled..but with a special oil...NOT motor oil. Pull the filter cover and get the oil puddle out of there...and while in there..give it a quick eyeball for anything odd. If they forgot to install a starter relay..God only knows what else they may have forgot. If you see anything you think is unusual..post a pic so we can tell ya if it is ok or not.

JOG NCY Performance sliding sheave. 3 Adjustable settings. Used 10 minutes. Too much for a stock 50cc engine with stock pipe. But really wakes up a BBK. $28.00 shipped. Attachments:

Ok...behind the variator itself...sometimes it is confusing on here as some refer to the cover itself as the variator... So alleyoop is today's prize winner. So it could be the upper chain guide bolt...

for what i have heard in the news oceana base wil be close down and the commissary cut hours.yup i noticed that the fuel gauge rapidly go down,w/o any improvement of speed i just put back my #88mj and it runs pretty good. Oceana shut down?...that's gonna kill the local economy. Commissary cut hours even..that sux.. The Commissaries are needed for the paltry pay active duty get.. I loved shopping there..cause you are buying groceries at their cost..so it's like a wholesale food store. Eggs 89 cents a dozen..bread 99 cents a loaf..Chicken 59 cents a lb etc.. sure helped me out with my 6 kids. When they were teens..I swore they had Tape Worms...gallon of milk lasted about 4 hours... Has Viriginia changed their scooter/moped law..where you could not ride on any road posted above 45mph speed limit? Used to suck..cause with me living in Denbigh and my gf in VA Beach...I had to truck my scoot down there cause the only way is that d@mn Hampton Roads Bridge/Tunnel. You know the one..it's the only interstate in VA that 98% of the time is nothing more than an over rated parking lot. 100 degrees out..you just sit in yer car for hours...sweating and listening to WNOR...while they flatten the tires and pull a 16' tall Semi out of a 15' 6" tunnel that is well marked 4 times..that it is only 15' 6" before you even get to it..

Not a scoot, but chinese, cheap, and funny: For a little over $400 you can have your own 50cc quad delivered at your doorstep. Probably barely will fit adults, but still, thought it was worth to mention ;-) Lil boy up the road has a blue one...his dad said he paid $425.00 delivered! Not much bigger than a kids wagon...but seems really peppy..hauls him around pretty quickly. Happiest 8 yo kid I have seen in a long time. If the sun is out...he is riding it...willing to bet he has a stack of homework 6 foot tall...

Top of the mornin' to ya Hank! 95cc? Spectre has what..a 50mm BBK and stroker crank + up gears?... I know you 'n Miss Derbi's Handsome Boy type scoot is a monster. I soo gotta build one of those. As for your April ...I read up on the Aprilla SR50..that Ditech built engine is no joke! How they squeezed that much HP and RPM's from a 50cc engine simply boggles my mind. Laws in Michigan say max is 2.5 BHP...so if your MCO shows the 5+HP...I would have to plate one to own it here. Your digital gauge with memory feature is kewl. It stores your top speed and rpm's..so there is your proof. Also the article said unlike Chinese Scoots..your speedo is accurate... not "Approximate" like our Scoots..

oh and im on my wifes profile...thought id clear that up ^ Makayla....I didn't think that was you. Not that your not that smart about scoots..cause you gotta nice one..fast too.! To you Mr Hubby...yes yer scoot will fly. All I know is my 2T at 55...your tail lights just get smaller...then the d@mn horizon gets in the way..so I have no clue how fast it goes. I know it will outrun the few 150's we have in town..have seen that. Maybe that is why the Cops mess with me and never with you? They figure.." I'll never catch that...but look!..Let's go mess with that 50 yo old man on the green chainsaw sounding Scoot...his exhaust smells like Xylene...he must be running a Meth lab..if not we'll just make up a lie that he was"... Btw...i sent a kid up to where you bought your scoots. Not a single CY50-T3 secret 63 left. Was told some guy bought them all. Like 5 or 6. looking at your yard..I assume that was you. He bought a stock one and I am putting a 47mm BBK on for him cause...well don't wanna be rude.. So I will just say..umm...he is one of those kids that has never missed a meal..yeah that sounds better huh? Then on the other side of the coin...ya got people like Makayla and I..that are so skinny..we could fall through our @sshole and hang ourselves... Or have to run around in the shower..just to get wet..

They do make Auxiliary Oil Cooler and Oil Filter kits. But if you are getting that much crud in your oil....keep it off the Motocross Track..and stop using it at local Mud Bog events... ;D As mentioned above..they do make a magnetic oil drain cap..which is a good idea especially on a new motor..for as we all know..as the new engine wears and seats in..metal flakes are produced. But even with the stock screen filter there are folks out there with 20,000+ miles with no catastrophic failure due to poor oil filtration. Simple the system is..but sometimes simple....is ample...
