We have many stolen in this small town. They are recovered complete..but torn up. % are teen kids that steal them...take them to the local motocross track and use them like a dirt bike Then once torn up abandon them in the woods....

We have a retro Sunny scooter. Runs great...not one issue yet so to speak. But it lacks the luggage area our other scoots do....and just to get to the carb or plug on a retro...you have to remove ALL the body panels and in a very systematic way. I love them....they are just difficult to work on as nearly all companies use the same body panel configuration. i.e. % of scoots you can simply remove the seat bucket to get to the engine carb etc. NOT on any of the retros...as I said above EVERY panel must be removed which takes quite a bit of time.

When I was selling scoots...I had 5 new ones stolen in one year. I only got one back. Even though I had the original MCO and keys..it was a legal battle with the court system to get back what parts remained. Then I had to pay $180 recovery and storage fee to the towing company. I sold what parts where left and barely broke even on the towing/storage fees. You are victimized twice...once by the crook....then by the legal system.

It's all I use as it does more than the SeaFoam. Seems to work wonders on all the engines I work on. Removes the gum and varnish from the carbs in only a few miles running....vice SeaFoam where it takes me a whole tank of gas.

I used to own an ' Sportster I bought new. From the 'git go' the signals were backwards...left was right etc. How they missed that during the PDI is beyond me. It did leak a bit of oil. They replaced the seals under warranty and it never leaked again. So I assume that when they sit in a warehouse for long periods waiting to be sold to dealers....they dry rot a bit? Not sure. Loved the bike was conned into selling it by the new wife because she said we could not afford the payments. We could..but in reality she feared motorcycles...being the bottom line. When I joined the military in 1982 I owned a Harley Legerro. Like the foolish kid I was I sold it before going in. They were Italian made and high quality...also you could really hype them up with Wiseco and Boyssen parts. Wish they would make them again.. Attachments:

I see most with cruisers because you have that extra room to mount the engine. and i have heard that you can only use it with 1 speed bikes unlike mountain bikes that have like 18 speeds Not true....I have put a few on for folks. The drive gear mounts on the opposite side of your real wheel gear cluster.

Well, he had to blame something. I was raised in the 60's when they had high compression motors to pump out as much power as they could with a carbureted motor, you could get 12 : 1 from the factory. If you ran regular in those they would ping like crazy. If you didn't get the ping everybody ran regular, cuz it was just more affordable at 27 cents a gallon versus 29 cents a gallon. If you wanted to try you could retard the timing to prevent the ping. Lower octane fuel burns at a lower temperature causing it to try to push the piston back down before it should in a high compression motor. If you have a higher compression motor, sure you do have a need for a higher octane fuel. same here...raised in the 60's and 70's. Low grade gas and your Muscle Car would sound like a diesel going down the road. We run 87 in all our scoots and never had a problem. Up to 5,000 miles on one Sunny...running 87..

We had something similar while in the military. It was made by Chrysler and called the 'Snow Bunny' or 'Snow Runner' it was used by our snipers..had a 1 qt tank and went about 25mph.
