[replyingto=prodigit]prodigit[/replyingto]DO NOT rev your 4 stroke to 10.5 -11k as Hank mentioned before. Valve float on those starts to occur a bit over 8,000 rpm. Where the delay in the valve returning to its seat may collide with the piston...unless you can find the heavy duty Titanium valve springs for it. Those reduce valve float..but their high tension shortens the life of the valve and valve seat. I have seen where they actually caused a cupping on the top of the valve by the shear power in which they force the valve into the seat. Excellent for racing though..where engines are expected to have a short life span. For derestriction on any scoot..start with the CVT..check for a ring in between the 2 halves that keep pulleys from closing all the way. Rare these days is a scoot that is restricted by the CDI. Instead they use a ring in the CVT..or extra heavy rollers to put a load on the engine so it does not rev that high. Many want to jump right in and use a massive main jet...which does no good except make you run rich..in fact it will even cause slower speeds...unless you have a Tao Tao and now some of the newer Sunny Scoots that come jetted so lean...that the engine runs hot and fries. This done to appease the EPA as it reduces emissions. Until your engine is tuned to its maximum in stock form..all the aftermarket 'Go Fast' parts are useless. Start with the easy and free to low cost up grades first. Then add ONE performance piece at a time and check for improvement. Reason I say this is...it is easy to diagnose..cause if it does not run right...guess what?.. easy answer..it is the last part you put on. All to often(daily) we see posts. "I have a stock 4 stroke Scooter..I added a # jet instead of the #74 that it came with..put on a Big Bore Kit...performance exhaust...free flow air filter..performance CDI.. a 22mm carb...high flow ported head...put in a bigger pilot jet and now it wont run right...what is wrong with it?" <-- good example of one part at a time....and the problem would have been obvious...it was the last part you added. ;D Sure saves you lots of frustration..and gets you on the road quicker..

Hahaha I actually found a like-new one for twice as much about an hour away, so either way, I'm tryina get one of these Motori Morini makes some peppy 50cc 2T's. The Morini enignes can sometimes be difficult to find parts for..but Ebay is loaded with them. Worked on a TGB Laser R5..quick and well running for a 50cc engine. That one for that price probably sold fast. We got a Big Bore kit for it off Ebay for cheap. Talk about a huge improvement! wow!. Hope you get that one...you will like it. ;D

The only reason i put it on here is its cheap thought someone might need one and dont have alot of money I have all the stuff I need. Just trying to help out my fellow forumers I guess I just wont waste my time anymore Please don't feel that way. We appreciate the post. After all....even a stock carb costs more than that!! Many of us do not have a lot of money..so think about those you just helped out lots by sharing where you got it so cheap!.. Thank you, Glenn

Wow that is a great price my Bando was 35 . Have you used that brand before ? If how how long did it last ? Have sold them to customers that did not want to put out the money for a Gates Powerlink..or Bando. They come with a 2 year factory warranty. 2 people I know of are over 5,000 miles on theirs. So not too shabby for $12.00. I just ordered too many belts. The 669-18-30 GY6 50 belts go quickly as about % of customers have a 4T. The 2T belts and other 2T parts I have...tend to gather dust..waiting for that other 5% of folks with 2T's...

gear ratio?

thanks all. but while you were all giving great advice i was cracking the gear box. as carasdad said i have to know or i might of been doing myself a disservice. i didn't know about the tire. it turned out to be a straight 4:1 13/52 so since im puting in a bbk im going with a 14/32 which will be about the right upgear. thanks. You do know the 14/32 primary is going to give you a 7.25:1 ratio if your secondary is the typical 13/44 which is 3.38.1 3.38.1 X 2.28.1= 7.25:1 If your primary is as you said 13/52 and secondary is 13/44 you started out with a 13.52:1 ratio. Going to 14/32 on your primary from 13/52 is a 46.37% increase...with a final ratio of 7.25:1...your gonna need a tractor to pull those gears!!! 10:1 to 11:1 is what most shoot for. If you are doing a secondary gear swap with that 14/32 and primary is 13/52...you will end up with 9.14:1 which is still really steep and huge jump up. 32.39% So what are your current stock gears...primary and secondary?

I already have a 20mm on mine but going to buy one for a spare and to play with. There are 2 carbs on the sale one reg one high perf. Ok..so got me curious...what is high performance on it? Same size..dimensions..looks..everything. looks and is described with exactly the same measurements as stock. NOT dissin' ya bud...it's just that so many sites toss the word 'High Performance' on so many stock things. Misleads the consumer and takes their money..

[replyingto=devo344a]devo344a[/replyingto]What they show and describe..is a stock carb. Not sure what makes it performance. But....for the price a spare carb is always good to have.

But Wait... There's more! ..Thanks needed a laugh this mornin'. I read an article where..he does not invent the stuff. He works with Chinese inventors and takes the credit..while giving nothing more than a sales pitch on an 'infomercial'. With products coming from China he can offer a low price and the ever famous "BUT WAIT!...that is not all....if you order today..I will send a second set..ABSOLUTELY FREE!" But why a second set..is the first set not going to last?... He is just a smooth talker representing the products. Talks so smooth he should stop wasting his time..and run for Congress.. ;D

[/IMG] Many folks around here run without a battery...but then b!tch cause they have to pay me to install new kicker gears..when I keep trying to sell them a battery..to save them money in the long run...but nope.. They just 'Stomp Start' it until it needs new kicker gears...AGAIN...or the kicker just busts right out of the case cover... [/quote] Yep, gotta love those customers that don't listen. Also love the ones that think they are kick starting a Harley LOL. Jim[/quote] Yup...I have seen them come up off the ground...with a flying kick start...looks like a woman killing a Cockroach in her kitchen...

I will say 27w of LED power is a lot...surprised it does not blind oncoming traffic. The Tactical Light on my Colt 1911 .45 is only a 7w Cree LED..and it will shine nicely out to about 100 yards. If you are within 25 feet of it...it will temporarily blind you and mess up your night vision. Since 7 yards is considered the average distance of engagement and what LEO's are Pistol Qualified at...should I encounter an intruder...I will never have to squeeze off a round. The Strobe light effect button it has..will really disorient ya as well with its 350 lumen's directed in your face.
