I've been searching a pretty wide variety of different bikes for a while now, really all winter but mainly just the last few days. I decided I want a 50cc 2-stroke for the cost savings and all the great testimonies I've heard from my fellow dawgs here about their 2T's. I found this TGB R50X locally for a very reasonable price, has a lot of recent work done but maybe a couple minor issues (keeping the price low!). From what research I've done, TGB stands for Taiwan Golden Bee so we're talking about a Taiwanese bike not a Chinese one. Also I found it employs a Morini motor, don't know much about that other than it's not Minarelli. raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/3742527210.htmlAny and all insight / advice would be much appreciated dawgs!

Put Hello Kitty stickers on it and drive it like you stole it. It's probably gone already

The Morini enignes can sometimes be difficult to find parts for..but Ebay is loaded with them. Worked on a TGB Laser R5..quick and well running for a 50cc engine. That one for that price probably sold fast. We got a Big Bore kit for it off Ebay for cheap. Talk about a huge improvement! wow!. Hope you get that one...you will like it. ;D

Awesome, great suggestion! I might be chasing coat tails on this one BUT there is an '09 model of the same scooter with only 138 miles on it (?? 1!!!! ) for about twice the price that I'm trying to get a hold of too. Kinda skeptical about stuff that seems like it just "sat around" though. I love the "sport tuned" feel and the larger wheels with dual disc brakes particularly on this scooter. greensboro.craigslist.org/mcy/3786656644.html

I'd go with the red one. Not having a scooter the same color as the pavement is good. One of the reasons I will never own another grey/silver bike...

I'd be ecstatic with either one, but damn people not putting their # on the ad, emails sent & fingers crossed. It's tough b/c there really isn't a lot of selection outside of these in my area for used... % are Tao Tao's, which are OK I mean I've had two already but I'm ready to upgrade, particularly to 2T... but not quite ready to drop $2000+ on anything crazy.

Yup, I was like hey, local buyer, cash in hand, very interested, call me anytime at 123-456-7890, etc. I understand some people are skiddish about publishing their # on the Internet but I do it everytime when I sell on CL now and I almost always get it sold in a day or two and don't even bother to check any of the e-mail responses...
