Never heard back about either of the TGB's, would have loved the opportunity to buy one but I met up and test rode the Derbi today. It's a peppy little guy, I wasn't blown away by the speed but it has a very solid feel and rides extremely well on the 13" wheels and dual disc brakes. I think with some tuning and maybe a couple parts it has serious potential. Sporty well-built 2-strokes are really hard to find, I had no hesitation to pull the trigger on it for $1400. I've got to get a ride up there to pick it up, we're shooting for Monday at latest. Can't wait ;D Hi Congratulations Derbi makes a fine scoot I owned one in the past and got many years of use out of her before passing her on to my daughter May she bring you much joy in the years to come Take care and ridfe safely my friend Yours Hank

Thanks Hank, I believe I somewhat remember seeing your/her Derbi last year up on the old forum. I'm really excited and will be racking up the miles & smiles The guy with the like-new '09 TGB emailed me back not but an hour or two after I got home from putting money down on the Derbi. Figures. I think I like this scooter better, though. The TGB looks cooler but I feel MUCH better about a liquid cooled bike, because I like to push them pretty hard and every once in a while take a pretty long ride. The Derbi also has a better exhaust on it.

Hahaha good point good point. I'm getting a ride to pick her up tmrw or Monday (I drove my cage up there to look at it b/c there were storms in the area and I'm a wimp). Full coverage to come whenever I'm not too busy riding all day ;D
And wouldn't you know, the other TGB guy just e-mailed me back an hour ago. Shooooottt for just ~$600 I'm sssooo tempted but that would be my 4th scooter in my garage! Already have 3 cars!!! Need to get some of these suckers outta here this week...

The yellow one indeed. However, in a sandy/desert area, it might actually be less visible. Depends on the shade...offhand, my Q-Link is bright, school-bus yellow! It's not quite hi-vis, but close.
