Yee haw!! My Jonway Hornet 2T with BBK hit 75mph today...didn't even have to put 40psi in the tires or mix 10w-30 and 10w-40 for the speed increase. Which is well known for making your stock Tao Tao 50cc..hit 60mph.

Must be a very steep down hill grade.

Must be a very steep down hill grade. Wasn't even a stock Tao Tao ATM-50 either..was my 2T Jonway.. But it has been said that the Tao Tao ATM-50 is far superior in power to even a BBK 2T. So I may sell my 2T and get one. Actually with the value of my Jonway Hornet 2t...I could sell it and buy 2 of those. What fool wouldn't want to straddle all that power. Also since they go 60 stock..I can't fathom what I will have when I put a 52mm BBK..oversized variator...6 gram sliders...pump the tires to 40 psi... Then mix 10w-30 with 10w-40 cause that has been proven to REALLY turn on the power of those when you mix the oils.

Ok..here is the deal on how I did it. My belt broke...called a buddy with a truck. We loaded the scoot up and headed home..interstate speed limit is 70...but we.... AND my Scoot..were going 75mph. Try to beat that speed with your Scoot. Unless you have a Tao Tao stock ATM-50...you won't even get close to the 60mph those things can hit on a daily basis.

Takr care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank As I told ya earlier..I read up on that Ditech engine. First look I said.."ok..it's a Minarelli engine..big whoop" But then when I got into the tech part of it..the type of metals used....tolerances for parts fit....precision balancing and induction system and a Dyno print out. I about poopied in my drawers. Widest power band print out I've ever seen. Many are 'Hitting the pipe' 6,000-8,000 then peter out of the powerband. The Ditech showed it spent most of its rpm range in the powerband. Dyno showed just at twice the torque and hp as our 'run of the mill' Minarelli's at 50cc. They posted that they were going to BBK it to 72cc and test it again. Date of the article is over 15 months old...and still no BBK update. So I posted to see if they did it and what the results were. If you hop that thing up..ya better keep us posted. Oh..also they said it would turn 12,000 rpm with ease due the forged con rod..precision balanced crank(which looks like a 'stuffer crank' to me..which I've never seen on a stock ride. Is yours a stuffer or full circle crank? Oh..funny part..for comparison they used a stock Minarelli...it was lame in comparison. Then they used some sort of forced induction..was hard to hear and see in the short poor quality vid..but it appeared to be a turbo charger made for Minarelli's?? Never heard of one..maybe they built it? It ran well until they put that on. The extra boost was more than the con rod and crank could take at 11,000 rpm and pieces of both blew holes and shrapnel though the engine block. As for me..I am looking for a 90cc crank case...but talk about hard to find. Wow! ..it was easier for me to find 'Waldo'...

I wonder if he was making fun of me, referencing to my post where I did 60MPH with my ATM50 (which was downhill a bridge, wind in the back).
And btw, mixing 10W30 with 15W40 is not for better performance, but longer engine life.
If you want best performance you probably should go with 0W20 or something.

And btw, mixing 10W30 with 15W40 is not for better performance, but longer engine life. . Interesting thanks..can you post a link to the page for the company that did the research? Would be helpful to the newbies..and even we old timers..as oil brands...viscosity's...shear strength...optimal operating temp and many other factors are important in oil. All too many times I see customers buy THE cheapest TCW3 boat oil that is not intended for air cooled engines...and the 4T customers buy the cheapest 'No Name' oil that is so black and filled with impurities...it looks like oil from a 3,000 mile oil change...yet it's fresh out of the bottle! Please find and post that link to the research where they explain that mixing oil will improve engine life. Ask the Mods to put it in the Tech section so we can refer folks to it. They have put a few things there from me and many others. The more we share what we learn...the better the riding experience for others...and less breakdowns which can frustrate Chinese Scoot owners. Thanks in advance for the link to the research. Interested in reading it...as it is THE very pumping and circulating blood...that keeps our Scoots alive.
