My t3 battery doesn't charge while riding it seems to run down, if i go for a long ride and it shut it off the battery is totally dead, the battery is new and charges fine with charger. And never could get the headlights to work new bulb and all, i know the headlight runs off the stator

[replyingto=millsc]millsc[/replyingto]millsc...with all yer mad 4T skills..you know the answer bud.. Stator or Rectifier/Regulator.....is most likely the culprit. Check your voltage with engine off..then check again with engine running with a bit higher than fast idle rpm...and see what voltage is then.  |

It runs without the battery when kickstarted though

the stator has independantly operating poles, the only ones needed for the engine to run are the CDI Ouput and the trigger pole's, you can still run with just those 2 poles intact and not be charging the battery at all and also (since most chinese scoots run headlights ac) your headlights and other acc may not work because those run off the same type of poles as the poles that go to the rectifier and then to charging the battery

DX Many folks around here run without a battery...but then b!tch cause they have to pay me to install new kicker gears..when I keep trying to sell them a battery..to save them money in the long run...but nope.. They just 'Stomp Start' it until it needs new kicker gears...AGAIN...or the kicker just busts right out of the case cover...  |

mine broke i replaced it already but i have 200 psi compression broke on kick back

Soak it with fluid film. Kickstarter that is, It will hold up if you go easy on it.
Don't run it with the regulator unpluged, unplug it at the stator to check for power.
Check it at the regulator with it pluged in.
If you run it with the regulator unpluged you will fry all the lamps and tack and well you get the idea, You don't need them anyway.
