Finally had some time to do some troubleshooting. AC voltage from the stator went from 107 VAC cold down to 16 VAC when hot. I couldn't get the scooter to loose spark again but from these numbers I have decided to order another coil and go from there. This is a 10 pole stator for reference.

Doesn't seem likely as you were just ridding it the day before but its still a possibility. Could just be a tight valve sticking open, or neither! When was the last time you adjusted your valves?

Does it seem to turn over a little slow? My old 50cc scoot was the same way. Changed the main ground and power wires and started like a champ ever since.

Bent valves from plastic. Plastic melted onto spark plug disabling spark. Dirty carb. As said before, if it starts with starting fluid than it is a fuel problem. If it doesnt start on starting fluid, then check for spark. If you have fuel and spark by no run then next thing would be an air issue. Bad compression or something.
Is it awd, i know the 4g63 is a tough motor but 30 psi is a lot of boost how much hp, nice ride.
Yes, it is AWD. The motor is built to handle 9500RPM's. Was dyno'd at 345 HP AND 330 TQ on a mustang dyno. This was with a little B16G turbo to break in the motor. Hasn't been back yet but shooting for 450+ when I upgrade the turbo.

Sure on the cdi, tried a known good one from another scooter and the same thing happens. I know where the pickup is, anybody know how to test it? I try not to throw parts at projects unless they have been tested bad.

What other hobbies do you guys have besides scooters? Personally I have way too many! The list in order from most important to least goes something like
Cars- 1992 Eagle Talon- 6pt cage, built motor, tuned for 30psi on standalone engine management. I can give more info if you guys are interested.
Scooters- Vento something or other 125- basic rollers/uni filter/jetted 57 mph on flat. Finally ordered NCY 61mm BBK, NCY 61mm head, NCY cam, NCY SS valves, NCY valve springs, TAIDA Ti retainers, KOSO high flow oil pump, and a high torque starter. Still need to figure out what crank I want, I'm thinking a mild 2mm stroked setup but haven't made a final decision.
Guns- Ruger 10/22, Walther P22, S&W MP 15 AR, built by me PSA AR 15, Remmington 870, and a nice fireproof safe bolted to the floor to secure it all.

I'm having an issue on a 150cc gy6. Once it warms up it loses spark. The coil is known good as is the cdi box. Next thing would be the stator I'd think. Does anybody know how to check it?

One more note while we're talking about it. The banner at the top of the page says "scooters cycles atv's" but I don't see an atv section. Maybe I'm just blind?
