I bought a 83cc big bore kit to put in my 50cc gy6. I installed everything correct, new carb with #  jet, exhaust, foam filter, ngk spark plug. It drove before i did the install. It starts right up but when you give it throttle the wheel wont go. I also checked the belt and variator and clutch and rear brake and they are all fine. HELP? |

Can't you run it with the transmission cover off to see what's happening inside?

Yes I can turn the wheel by hand. i have looked at everything in the trans cover while running and not. there is no damage or wear. the the belt spins. but when i give it throttle nothing happens. the engine revs up but nothing else happens.

Can you take a picture of the transmission. Setup, maybe it is something simple.

If the belt is moving, sounds like you might have a clutch problem. You could also have a snapped shaft that turns the rear wheel, I think you are just going to have to start taking it apart to see what you can find.

Did you take the motor out of the scoot or install the BBK while on the scoot? Did you take the Belt or Variator off when you did this? If you did you may have forgotten to put the weights back into the Variator.
Best thing to do is take the CVT cover off start up and take a short VIDEO of the CVT while it is running and just give it a little bit of gas to see what the CVT is doing.
