I would buy two to be safe . My Echarm had two wires and a single screw holding it on . Luckily I have a full warranty and the part was free

Yes changing out a headlight can be a pain . My Echarm I had to remove the mirrors , blinkers and front end clip . The running lights were simple twist and pull like car lights that you replace only bulb instead of the whole unit like older cars . The headlight had some oddball clip that was hard to get back on so I used spray weather stripping around the bulb to " glue " it in . Tail lights are only 2 or 3 screws .
If I ever win the lottery I want to design parts and later on my own line of scooters with easy to change headlights as I think it is silly to have to remove so much parts just to get to it

With any two wheeler it is common for bolts , nuts and screws to get loose , so every so often go over them with a wrench to make sure all is snug tight . The lines on the head tell how strong is it the more lines the stronger the bolt is

Have you looked at the needle clip ? What size venturi and jet sizes ? Was the old carb bad ? Did it do this way with the old carb ? Exhaust leak ?

M8-1.25 X xxmm . The xxmm is the length . I had mine fall out so I went to Oreilys and bought some after measuring with a caliper . I used washers and torqued em tight and they stayed in so far . My MMG pipe the bracket was much thinner so I had to use several washers behind it to keep from having it scrub the rear wheel and used a single washer on the front side

I am unsure if death would stop as I would a ghost rider LOL .
Funny you mentioned a seat belt as my youngest daughter asked " Where is the seat belt daddy " when I bought my first China scooter 2 years ago .
I was in a bad wreck when I was 17 on my Suzuki GS 550 that broke my wrist , ate up my FF helmet and I had roadrash with gravel stuck in my arm . The next day I have a cast on my right arm and several bandages , I hop on the back of a buddies Kawaski 454 LTD and he pops a wheelie with me holding on only with my left hand . I told him " I can still whoop you with my left " LOL . I got to do my homework on cassette and had to learn how to write with my left hand . To this day , in fact today , I do the crossword puzzle with my left hand as I can write the same with ether hand only the slope is diff .
I have had a few mishaps when younger riding in the trails as I have 200 acres or more of woods to ride in and I blazed a few trails with a chainsaw and machete . The trick is if you wreck is to roll rather than slide with your arms and head tucked in . BarkBusters was one of my best friends in the woods . BB is a metal guard that goes in front of the levers and I had to saw off the tips in order to install it .
Everyday it is an adventure with so many dangerous cagers on the road with all of the texters , drunkards , dopers and those who do not pay enough attention to their surroundings . In order to be safe you have to not only be smart enough for yourself but them as well . Always ride in defensive mode and keep your distance from them . Never expect cagers will wait for you as it is hard to judge the speed of a scooter compared to a car . With a slow scooter stay on the right side of the lane and wave cagers to pass by rather than pile up behind you . Since I have fast scooters I like to jack rabbit when the traffic light turns green so I get ahead of everyone and have the road more to myself than be among heavy traffic . I have ridden on interstates and even on a street bike I would get nervous around semis and dump trucks . I was so wild as a teen that I would draft a semi as the vacuum from the trailer would pull me down the road with the clutch lever in . I did not believe it when I heard about it , so I had to test it for myself . I do not suggest anyone try it as I hate to hear about people getting hurt or killed . A week before I got my TaoTao coming home from college I saw a guy who was on a scooter get put in a body bag and man that hurt my mojo . I have lost many friends to two wheels and have a few in wheel chairs . Yes scootering is great fun but not without risks . I always do a 360 sweep of my surroundings as well as plot a course as far ahead as I can see and leave in room for " in case ofs " rather than getting boxed in

I bought a " Green Light Trigger " and it did not work at all as at least in SC the sensors detect with weight not magnetics .
In SC if on two wheels after waiting 2 minutes and providing its clear , one can run through a red light .
I have a friend who lives in a gated community I had to wait for a car to exit so I could leave . Another friend she has a card where the other you enter a code in a keypad .
If you have a CycleGear store in town or online if not they have the Green Light Triggers if you want to try it and CG has a super return policy with no hassles

Should also have a needle clip in order to change its position . Most have a 18mm so a size up should help improve the flow but too big can be a bummer as it would not make it go faster . With a larger venturi you have more air and may need a larger main jet to compensate the additional air . As far as what size jet to use there is no one specific answer as things like climate and altitude all play a contributing factor as to how it will perform . I would get a jet kit like this for example enviromoto.ecrater.com/p/4129835/naraku-main-jet-set-gy6-50 that way you can test a few out and have others for future mods like airfilter and exhaust upgrades .

It kills me to see a ragged out scooter as I have seen many " tweakers as in dope " ruin a good scooter . You should always get paid for work and headaches . When I work on a computer I get a minimum of 40 unless its a friend or something simple .
I like to wrench too but it sucks to work on something that has been goobered up by someone

Airbox keeps rain out of the carb and engine . A Uni will have way more flow and require installing a larger main jet . Uni will get rain in it so its not good for long rides in case you get stuck in a storm

Loose ground perhaps ? Did you ground the plug to the engine when you tested for spark ?
