I just purchased a 2007 ZNEN 250 scooter. I need to replace a headlight but I have no idea where the maintenance cover is! Help Please.

MAINTENANCE COVER ARE YOU MAD  You have to take the front cowl off, windshield and the instrument cover off to get your hand down there by the light bulbs. Then on some there is a clip holding the light sockets in place as well THEN IF YOUR LUCKY you can pull the socket out and replace the buld(NOT FUN JUST TO CHANGE A BULB). Alleyoop |

Wow all that for a headlight? It shouldn't be called a maintenance cover if you have to take part half the scooter. I thought it would be easier since I could reach the back if the bulb from underneath. Well I guess I have a lot to learn as I am a new first time scooter owner. I guess the first thing I need is a repair manual. I found and downloaded the owners manual online but I can't find the repair one. The ZNEN website doesn't offer either which I think is kinda crappy. Thank you very much for the info.  |

Yes changing out a headlight can be a pain . My Echarm I had to remove the mirrors , blinkers and front end clip . The running lights were simple twist and pull like car lights that you replace only bulb instead of the whole unit like older cars . The headlight had some oddball clip that was hard to get back on so I used spray weather stripping around the bulb to " glue " it in . Tail lights are only 2 or 3 screws .
If I ever win the lottery I want to design parts and later on my own line of scooters with easy to change headlights as I think it is silly to have to remove so much parts just to get to it
