I would use a marine ( boat not military ) 12 V outlet and most i have seen already had an inline fuse . Should be able to get the fuse holder and some wire from any auto part store . Having a manual off/on switch is a good idea . If you get a Battery Tender you can charge up the battery with the port instead of having to remove the battery cover and hooking up to the battery . Being on the horn circuit you may ruin the horn relay , so connect to the battery . You do know a scooter barely puts out any amps so it would take much longer to charge a phone than it would in a car .

Doug the " day shelf life " is what ether epa or doe.gov stated and I just repeated it . It also said E10 ( gas with 10% ) ethanol can absorb water 20 times more than gas with out it . They are talking about going to E 15 in the future . I know not all gas is the same as I can tell the diff on how my scoots run . I used to use Amoco since it was good and the premium had a clear glass window in the gas nozzle with balls that swirled so one could see its clear . Well Amoco gas is now terrible even though some stations claim their premium is ethanol free . I have several in town that are ethanol free and wow my scoots run so much better . The ethanol can be a solvent on cheap rubber fuel lines on some small engines and the tiny particles can clog up the jets in the carb . I have fuel line from Oreillys on my 2T along with a golden cone fuel filter . I looked up " YY50QT-21A " which is on the side of my Jonway Magnum and saw there was a recall about the fuel lines as to why I replaced them and the vacuum hoses . I learned my lesson getting gas from a shady place as it had water in it and my scoot would not start the next morning after running perfect the night before . I drained the tank and carb bowl , refilled with nonethanol and tada , it fired right up . Shell and BP are ok but my scoots like QuickTrips gas . I go to QTs often since its close , store is always clean and clerks are friendly . The ethanol free stations are on the other side of town that have premium as some places only offer pure gas in 87 and I only use premium . I have used SeaFoam for years after a buddy used it in his car and it made it run so much better than it was running . I use it to keep the fuel system clean as a preventive maintenance . I have not tried it as a long storage fuel stabilizer but I have used StaBil for years in my lawn mowers . Walmart has SeaFoam cheaper than auto part stores . When I worked at Jiffy Lube they had a 3 part EFI cleaner , 1 bottle added to the gas , the 2nd into the oil , and the 3rd I removed the vacuum hose from the brake booster and had it get sucked up through the hose . I would need to have some one hold down the gas pedal to a fast idle speed as it would stall if I did not keep moving the hose in and out of the bottle . I first kept the hose in the bottle and it would stall a car regardless of the RPMs . What was neat is the intakes would often have frost form on the outside of them . Adding ethanol first sounded like a good idea since they said it had less emissions . Well you get less MPGs as it burns up faster , can cause problems in small engines and is a scam to make the price of corn go up . They should use only GMOs for that and we only eat heirloom corn

I just got in from riding at 31 degrees with wind chill of 24 degrees

If they fit they should work but may be stiffer . A buddy of mine has motorcycle shocks on his VW bug and it rides pretty good .
My scooter dealer had some shocks custom made based on his height and weight for 300 which is not bad since I have seen some NCY shocks for that much . If you can get gas type they ride better than the oil filled shocks .

Drain out the gas from the tank and bowl on the carb as E10 is only good for days . If you can get gas without ethanol it will last a year and with Sta Bil it should be fine during the winter . Seafoam is a fuel system cleaner .

All $t engines will need the valves adjusted at least once with some needing it done out of the crate . Most of the time they get too tight and do not open up all off the way . When this happens it starts but can want to stall once its warmed up . Too tight and it will not start up . Too loose like mine were , just before coming to a stop it would want to stall unless I gave it some throttle , but start right up and stay running . Adjusted the valves and it was new again .
Most of us from the start replace the vacuum and fuel lines and fuel filter with automotive fuel line hose from any auto part store . The small scoots are always too lean so we replace the main jet in the carb with a larger one just a few sizes bigger . Too much bigger and it will fizzle and not run good . We also change out the engine oil and gear lube with any brand name oil to replace the crappy shipping oil that comes in them . The very initial beginning of riding it during the early stage of the break in period is very important to have good oil , be easy on it since the piston is tight and the rings need to grind smooth and will have ring dust in the oil . I would try to stay around midrange of speed while going up and down on the throttle while riding so the rings get seated . Avoid long idle , long duration at the same RPMs ( guess if no tachometer ) and be easy going down hill . Change the oil and gear lube again at 250 or less miles since it should have dust if you do the break in right . Some go with lighter roller weights so it can take off and go up hill faster . So many variables like your weight and if you live where its hilly or flat determine if lighter weights would be a good idea . If its flat and your scooter screams at top end you may opt for heavier rollers . You would have to remove and weigh the rollers with a digital scale to be a starting base and go or up down depending on your situation . If your has a Torch brand of sparkplug replace it with a NGK brand . The NGK standard is good but I prefer to pay the extra for the iridium ones since they run better . Does not make it go faster but easier starts and overall fires better .
Its new it will be tight and after its broken in good the engine will rev up easier and perform better after you ride it around some .

Blinkers are powered by the battery instead of the stator like most headlights are . Undo the switch and ether touch the wires together or use a short wire to be a jumper to bypass the switch . More than likely is just a loose connection as it is very common for wires along with nuts and bolts to get loose . Switches can wear out or go bad too . If it still has issues when you bypass the switch it may be the blinker relay . Electrical issues first double check everything is connected good then troubleshot if problem still occurs .

Have you checked the valves ? Does it do this with a cold and warm engine ?

I was surprised to see how wimpy a scooter kick start after being used to having motorcycles that I had to '" man kick " em to start . I had a Honda XR 350 do a compression kick back and it flipped me over off of the bike .
I use my left foot and push down easy until I feel its on a compression stroke then let it come back up and then push down with a lil more effort .
You do know that the brake lever must be pulled in for the electric start to engage right ? If the brake light switch goes bad ( its located by each lever ) it will not start . Turn the key or some it may need to be running and test both levers to see if the brake light works . You can use ether one to start it . Some scooters have a killswitch in the kickstand to prevent it from rolling while having the kick stand down

Did it seize ? One would think extra oil would be better but in fact it makes it leaner ( not enough gas ) . ALWAYS top off the oil tank when you get gas . Try unhooking the oil line to the carb and use the kickstart to see if any oil squirts out . I would think an Adley would have a decent oil pump . Now you can get a Mikuni oil pump ( made in Japan and of quality ) for around 50 dollars but may need a new throttle cable with two leads . If so www.partsforscooters.com part # 159-26 . My cable only has one lead so I needed to replace it with a cable that has two leads . I had a Tomos Golden Bullet the oil pump went bad so I bypassed it and premixed 50 to 1 which is 3 oz per gallon . Note that engine does not hit RPMs like my scooter with a Minarelli also called JOG engine . If it starts and runs you may be fine . Harbor Freight has a engine compression gauge set for 20 dollars which is a great thing to have to so you can test it now to have a reference point and again later should there be a problem like the rings getting worn out . To be safe I would install a larger main jet as I like to run just a hair rich on my 2T . Here is 2T carb tuning tips itistheride.boards.net/thread/53 Avoid a seize and oil pump adjust tips 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/3151 Rejetting tips www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_rejetting_101_how_to_rejet.htm Many use Mikuni VM11/22 main jets and if your carb does to here is a jet kit which is way cheaper than buying singles www.partsforscooters.com/114-50-Minarelli-Main-Jet-Kit?sc=34&category=133078

Hmmmm my Echarm has a blowby tube which if I redline it I get a sip of bubbled oil in the hose . It had a removable plug on the end . I will takeoff the plug and see if it blows out air at idle and if I rev it up some .
Look for a connector missing a hose . I do not know the diff in PAIR or the other emission hoses since my Echarm has EFI and my other scooter is a 2T

Get a scouring pad like some use to wash dishes to scuff off the gloss . Make sure to use water to cut down on scratches .
I painted some doors in a motel with a high gloss oil paint , 14 diff colors , and just before I was done I was told the owner wanted the doors to look rustic instead of new . I used some MEK ( methyl ethyl ketone ) and PVC gloves to remove the gloss with rags . If you want to paint it sand off all the gloss on the body , use 2 coats of primer , allow it to dry , then apply a top coat of paint . Krylon makes a spray paint for plastics which would work better than their all purpose paint
