Several issues. I finally was able to send pics of my CDI dereg. alleyoop go to my deregulation thread, they are there as I edited a thread.
Oil issue; Seller told me that I would need to fill oil reservoir after three tanks of fuel. Checked reservoir and it was not down very far. So I added oilto the gas at 40:1. Then checked pump and it appeared to not be working as the tube to carb did not seem to have any oil in it. Adjusted oil pump linkage and oil appeared in the tube. Made a mistake and ran with pump running and oil added to gas. You can guess the rest. Scoot smoked and quit. Readjusted pump to minim and ran fuel down and added gas with no oil, readjusted oil pump and checked plug and cleaned and gaped. Scoot runningwell now. When this started had 120 miles on scoot. Now have 350 miles and runs well. Do you think I have damaged the motor? Since it runs and sounds ok would you do anything now to check the motor? I estimate that the oil tank is 1 liter so should use about 3 oz per each gallon of fuel. So tank would not empty before 10 gal of fuel. Is this set properly or would I need to increase the oil metering? Scoot has good power at take off and peaks WOT at 7k rpm and41.1 mph. Any and all comments welcome.

Sounds like you got a screamer there bud, Nice going not many can get them to do 40mph.
As far as if the mixture is good if you notice any loss of power after the motor gets hot and running at WOT then add a little more oil to the mixture. Alleyoop

Did it seize ? One would think extra oil would be better but in fact it makes it leaner ( not enough gas ) . ALWAYS top off the oil tank when you get gas . Try unhooking the oil line to the carb and use the kickstart to see if any oil squirts out . I would think an Adley would have a decent oil pump . Now you can get a Mikuni oil pump ( made in Japan and of quality ) for around 50 dollars but may need a new throttle cable with two leads . If so www.partsforscooters.com part # 159-26 . My cable only has one lead so I needed to replace it with a cable that has two leads . I had a Tomos Golden Bullet the oil pump went bad so I bypassed it and premixed 50 to 1 which is 3 oz per gallon . Note that engine does not hit RPMs like my scooter with a Minarelli also called JOG engine . If it starts and runs you may be fine . Harbor Freight has a engine compression gauge set for 20 dollars which is a great thing to have to so you can test it now to have a reference point and again later should there be a problem like the rings getting worn out . To be safe I would install a larger main jet as I like to run just a hair rich on my 2T . Here is 2T carb tuning tips itistheride.boards.net/thread/53 Avoid a seize and oil pump adjust tips 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/3151 Rejetting tips www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_rejetting_101_how_to_rejet.htm Many use Mikuni VM11/22 main jets and if your carb does to here is a jet kit which is way cheaper than buying singles www.partsforscooters.com/114-50-Minarelli-Main-Jet-Kit?sc=34&category=133078

I don't know seize. It stopped running a block away. I had opened the pump about 4mm. I shut the pump as low as it would go and the scoot restarted. I see talk of soft seize. Dont understand the definitions. Scoot smooked a lot till I was able to add more fuel without adding more oil. Plug was fouled. Checked the pump initally by disconnecting line to carb and running engine with the oil/fuel mixture and had a good flow.

It did NOT SEIZE what happened is the plug got fouled with to much oil and it would not fire and the motor just quit that is why it was smoking so bad. No biggy you fixed the problem GOOD JOB. Alleyoop
