I had a small nail in my front tire, I plugged it. The valve stem was dry rotted too. I broke the bead and squeezed the tire, pulled out the old stem and pushed the new one in.

the pick up coil grounds where it mounts. Dismounting and reinstalling could have made the difference.

soak in the vinegar over night. Rinse with baking soda and water. see if you can give it a quick hone to bring it back.

was it one day good one day bad? or was it you didn;t start it for a week and no start?

Bypass the kill switch and try again. unplug the kill switch.
