Hi Greg, Nice to see you back :-) The sign i really don't like, I share it's sediment but a man on his knees with a gun to the back of his head... Naaaaa not the message I want to convey.. If the man were standing and facing the scooters owner and the scooter owner was holding the gun to him that I would like.. I want one with the owner chasing him waving a helmet.

The fun part is when you get to pull the engine just to change the alternator... Hope it goes well for your mom Even more fun is swapping the timing belt...Ask me how I know. (fortunately it wasn't my car, i was helping a friend, but still... OY VEY! ) I still have not figured out how the heck you would replace the radiator without a lift!

www.searcylaw.com/do-you-know/dyk-head-injury/•Millions of people suffer head injuries each year .... Note: They do not even mention motorcycles. Very few people wear helmets when driving their car. In 1952 I was walking across a street when a car hit me and threw me 100 feet landing on my head. I was not wearing a helmet while I was walking. In 1965 I had a collision, injuries in the jaw and top of my head -- jaw hit the steering wheel, head pivoted for the top of the head into the windscreen. I was in an Austin Sprite, *not* wearing a full face helmet. I still do not drive without wearing a helmet, even though race drivers *always* wear helmets. Do *YOU* wear a helmet when you drive? Or do you prefer the comfort of no helmet while driving? What is the difference with the comfort of riding a motorcycle? The difference? Mostly: I have a seat belt and an airbag when I drive my Dakota! My sister got clipped last year...15MPH at a light. Her helmet (high-end Shoei, I think a modular) was broken into two pieces when she fell into a K-rail. Her knee was pretty banged up, but she has, aside from the knee scar, fully recovered. Without the helmet, she'd almost certainly be dead.

Reality check. When you buy a bike without a title from the person selling it to you something hinkey is going on. And, if the seller tells you it is easy to get a title, then, why did the seller not get one? Reality check: some states DON'T title small scooters!

I have never seen a scoot that WASN'T rear-heavy! The rider and the engine are BOTH behind the centerline.
Only 10" car tire I have seen is on old Minis.

An issue: anyone tall will NOT be comfortable on a Savage! My mother has one, it fits her perfectly. She's 4'11" tall. I can barely ride it...it's worse than the little 250 Nighthawk I rode for training.... My 6'2" (36" inseam) wife sitting on my Savage. First Mount: Second Mount: Savage fitted my 5'9" 30" inseam just fine. In other words: you agree with me, and a tall rider will need to modify the bike! That is NOT a factory seat!

If you are considering a motorcycle, a Thumper, look for a Suzuki Savage / S40 -- first sold in 1986 and is still available. A hair lighter than the Blast, a lot smoother, faster off the line, and the Savage Forum is very helpful. An issue: anyone tall will NOT be comfortable on a Savage! My mother has one, it fits her perfectly. She's 4'11" tall. I can barely ride it...it's worse than the little 250 Nighthawk I rode for training. Note: if you see an LS650 or a Boulevard 650, that's a Savage.

It might recover, if it can be recharged. Seen it a few times.

So, you'll let the next poor sap ride out with no brakes, then?!

Call the state AG's office! Do this RIGHT NOW! The shop KNOWINGLY put you on the road on an unsafe vehicle and needs to be shut down!

I went with a Gates Power-Link...mostly, I wanted a brand I'd heard of. (My other option was a Chinese company I hadn't.) Tough to go wrong with Gates.

Filing that type of complaint is what pay phones are for. Driving/riding up to a police cruiser and tapping on the window is not the best idea in the world. Not much good will come of it and the bad has the potential to become terminal. A friend of mine did that once and the officer just started laughing when he figured out what was up as he said that wasn't too bright while he raised his 45 into view and told him he was about to shoot him through the door if he had made any more sudden movements. Yes...you need to treat cops like any other armed gangbangers!
