I'm good enough to do that but won't have time. IT gets rather tricky when you start having to use depth maps to lay a logo/emblem over a two-d made three-d shape. Yes you could get away w/o using those, but it won't look as good.

I use reflective tape, both on helmet and bike. I just ordered some stealth kind (black during day, reflects light during night as white light). I'll make various designs from it and stick it to my matte black helmet and to the body of my bike.

Thanks everybody. In fact, the variator is brand new, as are the guides. They fit in, but through my fumblings when working will fall out. After taking a half hour to locate one that fell off in the grass, I had to do something.

Thanks Matt but Stephanie has already sent out a replacement order. The first tracking number is: 9405510200828787733999 and the 2nd (replacement order) is: 9405510200828793867640 I have confirmed that our P.O. knows nothing about it, and the complaint I filed with the USPS was "sent to another office that could better suit" my needs, after which I've heard nothing. Stephanie believes it was lost. Both packages now say they are still sitting there in Seminole, FL. Let's hope one arrives. We have a P.O. box so nothing was stolen (unless it was an inside job by some guy nicknamed Grassy Knoll or something).

My v slider guides (I assume that's the proper term for the three black, plastic guides that allow your variator to slide open and closed) would not stay on the new variator very well, so I used a dot of gorilla glue to hold them in place. Good or bad? If good, I'll put it in my tips list that I'm making.

Thank you! It will be handy to have, especially when I first replace the variator or anytime I'm riding on a belt that is entering its final part of its life. When you get something cheap like this, you just hope it will serve you the 20 or 30 times you may need it. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for.

I'd like to know which tires would be specifically best for taking corners tightly; in other words, something that's relatively soft with tread riding sort of high so you could really get your lean on. The three times I've crashed in this first year, one was just being stupid and skidding to a stop in gravel, but the other two were taking corners fast. One was on gravel (I should have known better, but it got deeper, like snow, in that corner more so than on other corners) and one time I just barely hit a tiny puddle in a parking lot, literally about as big around as a 12 oz. can, and WHUMP!. I also slipped once on a medium-grade turn on a tiny puddle but recovered (that was before I got my Kenda K329 tire for the rear; the two fall-during-turn incidents happened after, though). Now my faith is shaken a little; I used to go into corners with reckless disregard for angles, feeling I could handle it. Well, I can, but the scoot can't always.

I'll post a "hope this helps" analysis of what started, prolonged, and fixed this problem when I get her put back together this week and give all you folks credit (once I figure out how to word it). If I get something wrong in that post, I hope you'll help me correct it.

A photo of the back of that plate and better photo of variator area as requested. Actually I don't have the sliders in yet because they haven't arrived; but I know how to put those in. The fan face and everything is new; it's all new. The entire variator and the belt; only original part I'll be using is the nut to lock it down. What do you guys clean the inside of the case with?

Thank you shalomrider, teddy, onewheeldrive, triker, and Alleyoop! All of the stuff in the first photo is brand new (new variator, plate, rollers, belt, nut, etc.) The reason it may look partially used is that I had it on for 3/4th mile before it came apart again or began grinding as Alleyoop said because the bushing on the bendix was busted, making the clutch go into the fan. As for the variator humps, I see what you're seeing, Alleyoop; it may be a trick with lighting and dirt or something; if it's really humps, this baby has to go back, because that must be what happened to my last Dr. Pulley sliders.
What is the best solution to clean the inside of the case with? And grease no other parts in the photos shown? Just oil on kickstarter? (Should I just treat this like a PDI and go re-read a PDI guide?)
I will get the other photos requested uploaded later on today and thank you all again.
