Well, I don't have the big humungous top case, and I don't have a flat floorboard. Plus I have a car-centric mindset. Probably comes from having six feet of length behind my front seat that I can fill up. Last week I brought home a pallet from work. It isn't the usual, it has a solid top. I plan to slide it underneath the wood rack holding my paintings, just in case it floods again in there. Hey rocky, can you bungee-strap that to your scoot? >'Kat

Only to make a Laurel & Hardy-esque YouTube video! I...looked at mine & wished I could ride to work. (Thunderstorms in the forecast for afternoon.) Though I did install my new Bearcat backrest Saturday...what a difference!

I just spent the day yesterday doing all the service for my 2013 BMS myself. It just turned 600 miles so it was time for an oil and gear oil change. On top of that I decided to check the valves, change the gas and vacuum lines, and drill out the cap for the air/fuel. I used online videos on you tube and instructions here and another forum. I am only a driveway mechanic with the basic tools.
The only issue I found was in reference to the valve adjustment. I looked through the view window and lined up the marks as instructed. These were off. It was easier to use the holes on the timing gear. My valves were too tight. Adjusted them to .005...
I took the whole carb out and did a good cleaning and inspection. Followed the instructions found on line. Only issue.... drill slipped and went into my hand...oops.
Gas and Vacuum lines...just switched one at a time so I didn't screw them up.
Started right up. a few adjustments to the idle/fuel/air mixtures and she runs better than ever. I learned a lot.
Next project is variator weights to move my fat better.

I carried 5 gallons of water 5 miles on my scooter from wally world the other day 2x2.5 gallon plastic jugs,,right between my feet on the floor boards,,she handled a little funny in the front but i made it home..40-45 mph no strain no pain..lol I almost forgot that once when at a State Park I picked up a Waste Transfer Tank to minimize how many times I would have to break camp and drive to the dump station. Almost as big as a pallet but in a nice clean box with no nails or splinters.

I live in Phoenix, so earlier this morning I took my scoot out on about a 20 mile round trip to run errands. It was 42 degrees, so it was pretty cold. I have a heavy leather jacket and a full face shield helmet, but my gloves just cover my hands and part of my fingers. My fingers got so cold that I could barely hold the throttle after a few miles. Tomorrow I'm heading to the store to get some full size gloves. LOL

I installed headsets in our helmets for our hand held radios. They work well inside the house but I haven't tested them out on the road yet.

I rode it! Grabbed it last Sun, changed plug/belt/engine oil and trans oil. tightened steerer bearing. ... and rode it today (for about a mile).

Nice price too. At the motorcycle shop I go to, they want upwards of $50 and $75 for their leather gloves.

All finished. The color matches a lot closer to factory paint than the original color. Just a couple areas on the front that are bunched up, but I can live with that. Very happy with the results and learned how to sew. Got to give that dawg a bone! Great job, Man! (Just realized this was from August but it's still a great job. Sewing can be difficult but rewarding, especially doing upholstery.)
