I just thought it would be cool to see who has the fastest scooter where they started with a lil 50cc scoot and cranked it up to get the most out of it with out doing a motor swap. let us know what you have, what youve done, and where your going.

i wish i knew what size piston my scoot has. i'm the 4th owner of an ATM-50. it will go 45mph which seems fast for a 39mm piston (i think). wonder if it is secret 63cc i keep reading about? if i keep this scoot long enough i will probably install a 100cc BBK and find out then what size engine i been riding all this time.

On the flats I do 42/43 mph , down hill about 50 . All I have done is unlimited raceing Cdi and tuned the carb . Getting a hipo cam in a month or so and a more free flowing exaust .

Mine does 43 on the flats with the mods listed in my signature. I don't really plan to do any more to it, because I'm perfectly happy with it now and don't really want to go much faster on this small frame and 12" wheels.

With my modifications, I can do 42mph on flats (gps). I weigh 165lbs. I don't plan on needing any more speed as I need a balance of acceleration and speed with the numerous city stop lights. I also don't want to go much faster on the 10in wheels, unless I change the tires to good quality ones and get them balanced.
The biggest change is in the acceleration and torque. Before the changes, cars would honk at me because I took so long to get up to speed. Now, I go with the flow. It is safer because cars don't speed up to cut me off anymore.
btw, my stock top speed was 33mph.

my wife`s vip is at 51mph on GPS, we did the following to it, 50mm bbk, cam, KN type airfilter, exhaust, coil, cdi, rejetted, 5g sliders, 1k spring in rear variator, timing advances by slotting holes on magnetic pickup, compression raised, no base gasket, bigger OD rear tire(had to grind part of engine cases away to get it to fit, weight reduction, took out kickstarter and other item not needed to lose weight.
I have an Aprilia SR50 and she walks me from a standing start

When the rear needed replacing, I didn't think it through very well and ordered a 110/100/12 to replace it. That was massive! So tall that I didn't even attempt to install it on the rear. I put it on the front and ordered another 120/70/12 to put on the rear, which is still a good bit taller than the original.

[replyingto=imarider]imarider[/replyingto]You have listed that you are using a carb from a 150 right? Whay size is a stock 50cc carb? The reason i ask is because i have mention that i use a 32mm carb on my 150 with the mods listed below. I have a theory of how i can reach 67 mph on flat stretches. And it has to do with the air flow and fuel being greater through the engine. I also use a bigger uni then prob everyone on here. With this settup i am able to pull more air and fuel and still not running to rich. This to me is what allows me to run the 67 mph. I hit 79 dowm hill with 13 gram rollers last season. I know this is a 50 cc post sorry for the 150 cc info.

I have a ishimotor A1 139qmb 50cc 4 stroke. stock at best (drafting semi or suv) 50, normal 40. I am currently in progress of installing 80cc bbk , racing cdi, racing ignition cable, iridium plug, 5g rollers, 32mm carb, open air filter, performance clutch, 1k clutch springs, bando belt, stock but bored and drilled exhaust. will be looking into possibly better exhaust or air filter if needed and possible in the later future bigger cam and final gear ratio. will repost when it gets broken in and tuned (may be awhile). if anyone feels like it please contact me on email if you have any recommindations for those "future" parts i mentioned.
