How is the fuel flow at the carb,,pull the line off where the fuel line connects to the carb fuel inlet and put the line in a cup or can,,then crank to see if fuel is spurting out...if so the carb might be dirty or maybe a jet came loose,if no fuel make sure you have flow to the pet cock,,if so the petcock might be bad,,just put a manual one on there from Lowes, check tank vent make sure its open,,you have spark so my guess is fuel delivery problem,,or maybe the valves where not done right causing a low or no compression status.Hows it feel when you push on the kick starter,,pretty hard to push?
Also if you have flow to the carb make sure the fuel is getting to the bowl by trying to unscrew the little drain bolt at the bottom of the bowl line drain.Ive seen needle valves stuck closed before...not allowing any fuel to the bowl.

I got a couple breif values to check,, For the trigger winding or pulse pick up coil you should see between 40-300ohms from green/red wire other probe to ground. For the wire that feeds the cdi AC volts from stator too charge up the internal cap(not sure what color it is on yours maybe red or blk/red)look for 300-1k ohms, and 75-120 AC volts when cranking. Coil pack should be,,primary side(where the two wires go in back)look for 1.9-2 ohms Secondary side or side the plug connects to should be around 2-4k without the boot and wire,,if the wire is on it will be 1k or 2k higher.. More info than you need but hey I had fun sharing it

When the pick up coil by the stator goes bad it will do this when hot also...I would test the ohms with a DVM on the pick up coil wire..you can also test the coil pack for ohms as well..I posted a great troubleshooting vid a while back see if you can find it..it will walk you through all those procedures and give you proper values to look for Also how is your valve clearance,,if they are super tight you might be loosing compression when the motor gets hot and expands causing the valves to not seat all the way...??

Low fuel delivery,, How is your fuel flow to carb?Pull the fuel line off the carb and crank the motor over a few times,,does gas spurt out of the line really good? Check and make sure the gas tank is venting,if fuel flow is good and strong to carb,,you might try to clean the carb and jets real good.

Dont forget to change all the fuel lines, filter, vac lines, and eventually remove the evap, egr, pair valve, upgrade that pesky fuel pump/pet cock and you should be good to go for a while. Congrats on the new scoot!!
Wanted to add,, I got mine from familygokarts.com and did not have a lick of trouble with them either,,very good prices and super friendly people to deal with. I even had a few warranty items they sent right out to me in a few days.

I would go to the battery ground(neg) or valve cover bolt for a ground,,you can go to the positive side of the battery with the red/yellow but it really needs a switch or it will just keep cranking. Also make sure you have a good ground wire from negative side of battery to a valve cover bolt.

Sounds like one of your switch wires is going to ground,,you dont have any spark correct? All you need to verify for that thing to run is that the pickup coil is sending a signal to the CDI,the CDI is getting AC from the stator, and the coil is getting its DC from the CDI.Make sure the motor has a good ground.

Yup it all adds up,CVT cover modded, pipe covered/wrapped,fan scoop, plug,CDI,coil,un restricted air filter, free flowing exhaust means a super efficient running motor that will stay cool on the hottest days. I would say just the air filter and exhaust would be a big help,,getting more air in/out.

I was gonna tell him to put a sock over it..lol...funny how you can tune a motor in with a sock sometimes...

Yeah thats the coil..you can unscrew the wire and test right from the stud that the wire screws to,,that video posted above is priceless,,check it out a few times,,you can take readings with a DVM to trouble shoot the complete system from kill switch through ignition,CDI,stator, pick up coil,,the whole nine yards bro
