You need to find where the pump is located and just remove it and or plug the lines.I have never done it on a scooter. The bike's i did it on where older Yamaha dirt bikes like the KD-80 and 100.I also did it on a moped. Not sure how the injection system is set up on a scooter maybe somebody who has done this mod will chime in..

Yeah I would do what Alley says,,also get a manual petcock that should get you going as long as the carb is clean and you have good venting from fuel tank...

I always by passed my oil injector pumps,,never trusted them, better to pre mix the way you want,,that way you know the oil is going to make it to the cylinder..JMO

The part you are showing with red arrow should ONLY move up when the motor is running and the RPM is going up from twisting the throttle. It works off vacuum from the motor. With the motor OFF the slide will not move by twisting the throttle.

My neighbors are the same way,,the kids will come over and say"so whats wrong with it now??" I say,,"nothin at all just trying to make it better than it was,,or just brushing on some rubber protectant,,"lol,,Im always doing one thing or another to it out there in the shed,,its a great hobby!

Yup geh3333 is exactly right,, ATM I have 4 half inch holes in my filter box,,with a jet of 115,,if I drill a few more holes I might find a 118 to run better...the funnest part of the hobby for me other than riding is tinkering with stuff like that,,trying to fine tune the motor so it runs the most efficient. Its really a balance act

Welcome to the site,, You have come to the right place,,look around for a while you may find exactly what you need after some leg work. Yes there is engine oil, gear lube, filters, hoses, clamps, cables, and a slew of other things that need attention. If you look in my signature you will see the lubes/oils I use,,they can be had at Wally World for a very reasonable price. An auto parts store will carry the NGK plug you need,,just bring your old one in and they will cross it over to a nice Iridium upgrade. The fuel line i use is quality 3/16 the auto store has that along with a good inline filter.. I recommend reading the tech tips section and find the PDI stuff,,it will be super priceless for you to have the info...even though your scoot is not new,,the previous owner may have never done this stuff?? itistheride.boards.net/thread/46/big-guy-pdi Hey,, Enjoy your stay and welcome again!! Most all the 125/150 and 250 manuals are pretty much the same other than body style as long as you have the gy6 clone or the 250 clone,,just small variations.I use the Tank 150 manual all the time for my Taotao..

Yes,,also check to make sure you don't have any air leaks on the intake manifold,,do this by spraying some starting fluid lightly around the intake while its running,,if the idle changes by going up you have a leak that will cause it to bog and die.. I would also look into the back of the carb while you give it throttle with the air cleaner off,,you should see the slide with the needle move up while the motor picks up rpm,,if it doesn't there could be a problem with the CV vacuum chamber spring and or diaphragm...

You know what brother,, This is the only reason why i still have my 150,,like I said before,,Ive had Harleys,Hondas,Kawi's,Yamahoppers,,over 35 bikes, trikes, and quads in my day,,BUT,,this 150 scoot has to be the funnest ride i ever owned,,it struggles to do 55 mph,,cruises real sweet at 45.I will never sell it,,and if it blows up I will buy another motor for it in a heartbeat,,i feel like a little kid on a super modded mini bike when riding it,,also it gets more looks than my Ninja 900RR ever did,,even the chicks..lol..I will never be without a scooter as long as i can help it..totally awesome ride....
