Thanks for the update Walter. With so many generic parts in the marketplace it's always good to know there are guys like you and tvnacman (John) we can turn to for quality and help. Best of luck with your new venture.

Hi,Im hoping you can help me with parts/advice,im in New Zealand and we run a pr of racing grass karts with GY6-150 motors, currently the fast one has a 196 63mm/6mm stroker and 4 valve head etc,we want to build up a "B" case motor 65mm x 3mm stroker and big 2 valve head to see how they compare or would you reccomend staying with the 63mm/6mm crank ?.Can you supply, crank, head and Cyl kit ?,Thanks

Spending the money just to go up to 65mm and a 3mm stroke is not worth it. Now if you were to go with a 232cc engine that is 67mm and a 8.2mm stroke with the oversized valve head then yes that is worth it. I currently do not sell those parts at the moment anymore. But i do recommend yo check out www.drowsports.com they have many options for you to build your engine or they can build it for you. BUt the engine you have right now seems like a great engine. I never have used a 4 valve head. Most where i use to live in Puerto Rico do not use it. They prefer the Taida Oversized valve head. With that 6mm stroke your using you will have much more torque vs going to a 65mm bbk with a 3mm stroker.

Hi thanks,I should have mentioned,we run 2 karts and this new motor is for the other kart, also the cc limit is 200 cc [for junior grade] but would get away with a couple more cc's.So are you saying the stroker would be better then ?.If so could i stick with the 61mm bore and put in a 8.2mm stroke crank ?.I think I'll definitely try the taida big valve head either way.heres a link to a youtube video of our club racing .Not our kart but gives you an idea of what we do.

Hi again,Walter.Im hoping you may be able to shed some light on my engine ?.We bought a new GY6-180 motor,[supposedly],i ran it for 2 race meetings, but it was slower than our old 163cc GY6.Today we pulled it down to start the new build and found its actually only 168cc and the valves are smaller than the 150['that explains a few things !].Im now wondering if we have a "B" case or some oddball thing. The stud spacing is definitely 57mm and the engine # is 161QML ,are you able to figure out what we have from this?,there doesnt appear to be much "meat" around the studs for a BBK and still have good gasket sealing area,im a bit concerned about shipping parts 5000 miles and finding they dont fit .Thanks !!
