Maybe its sucking air in from somewhere,,also it might be loosing spark or getting weak spark with higher rpm,,did you check all your electrical components for proper values and operation like pulse coil, coil pack, and all wires?
The jets have holes on the side that you cant see unless you take them out,,since its new I doubt they are plugged but you never know...at least you will know all about gy6 scoots when your done with this one..lol

Thats making alot of racket..are you sure the air/fuel mixture is tuned correctly? I didn't have time to read the whole thread its pretty long..lol..did you ever have the bowl off the carb,,make sure the pilot jet is not coming loose or fell off...does it take fuel,,whats it sound like when you give it full throttle?

I would just leave the old springs in there,,thats about where you want the wheel to start spinning,,mine starts at about 2400-2500...any more than that and your rear pulley might be going deep into first gear before the wheel even spins..lol

Heavier rollers/sliders will bring your rpm down some through the gears,,but once the CVT is fully engaged and you are in high gear the motor will slowly pick up rpm's like before,,this is where gears come into place.I want to get one tooth bigger on my output shaft and one smaller on intermediate to see if i can get my rpm down a little while cruising,,i think I have enough power but if not,,guess i will be getting my 60mm BBK sooner than i think..lol
You could even try sliders of the same weight you have in there,,they seem to work well,,I love my sliders,,nice and quiet, also very nice power distribution.

Thanks,, Yes the P&P is quite loud but only when you get on it,,once in cruise mode its not very loud at all...I think the cheaper free flow mufflers from ebay are a bit quieter,,I saw a few videos of them.As for the fan scoop,,I never took any oil temp readings so I'm not sure if it does anything,,I assume it cools down the engine/oil some from what I have read.I also want to wrap my header pipe,,that will help keep the heat off the motor and get it out...
Thanks for the view!!

When I first read the op post I thought he meant the green wire,,don't know why he would ground out the blk/white wire for no reason unless he wasn't getting spark before hand??

well i just got my new 2014 vip 50 cc champ but after 11 mi i put on ornge coil and new cdi box but still only getting 35 mph max but i also got a bbk 105 cc and big valve head and a9 cam but should i tare in to this new scoot at this early stage now got 83 mi any feed back would be healp full thanks from tennesse Well I would run it the way it is until it blows or gives you problems,,cause for the BBK and all those mods to work right your going to need to spend more money on free flow filter, exhaust, and jet the carb up to get more fuel into that big head/bore. The more you run it the faster it will go,,give it 1000 miles or so,,it will wake up a little more,,but you wont see much more than 35mph out of a stock 50 with just coil and cdi.If you open up the exhaust and get a better filter then jet the stock 50 you might see a few more MPH? You might want to look into gears also with that BBKwhen the time comes,,you should see comfortable cruising speeds of 40 MPH and top speeds over 50 no problem....
