Sorry , but I don't remember if you already have a high performance exhaust and air filter mod ? I'd wait until you get all the other mods done before installing the bigger carb. I'd say a 120-125 main jet should work out pretty good when all is said and done .

When I upjetted, I had the same problem. After much swearing, and trial and error, I finally solved the issue. At certain speeds( right around 40 mph), the fuel valve would close, due to lack of vacuum. The reason fuel wasn't coming out of the fuel valve you talked about is that they require vacuum from the engine to open them. That's why there is 3 hoses on them. One is a vacuum line from your manifold. You can do 1 of 2 things: You can purchase a Mikuni vacuum fuel pump for about $40, or you can do as I did. I bought a manual shut off from the auto parts store. I just leave it on all of the time. One less thing to worry about. If you have a petcock that is screwed into your gas tank, that makes is a little more tricky. Those things are notoriously bad about malfunctioning. The diaphram fails on those, and gas goes through the vacuum line into the cylinder. It can lock your engine up. You could unscrew it, and find a plumbing part from the hardware store that would work, I assume. I also recommend a manual shutoff valve instead of the vacuum valve. I've had one on for nearly 4 yrs now.

Can you or anyone give me the Ring Thickness? I have a source. Please don't file down a set of 61mm, Thats 1 whole mm or .039 The ring tension would be off the charts. No Bueno!! Thank you SO MUCH! The guy in PR who supplied the BBK (good guy) made available a 60mm set, which are on the way. They seem pretty willing to help . they sent me a set of v-slides because the k&s variator was missing them . they prob fell out of the package.

The steelmate alarm works great, but it drains too much power in a ride that is only used once a week. Not to mention it is a DC operated scooter so the battery level is invaluable. Too low and the ride won't start, even with a kick. So the alarm seems to be plugged into a connector in the main harness. When disconnected the scooter will not start. What wires need to be crossed to fix this? I'm guessing the pink and grey wires that go to the alarm control the ignition cutoff? So maybe those? Dmartin should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do .

George if you are right that is a real shame. What color were the valves spring on yours? I hope it will be good enough as I am investing money to get it ported. Tbh , I'm not quite sure. One thing is certain. If you look at the pic of the ncy head in the package, you can see the ncy logo on the head . it is a dark gray color. My ncy head also has this logo. If you order any more ncy products , I'd orderer them from gy6racingteam on eBay. They sell the real ncy products along with their own Taiwan made products. I've never been disappointed with them. I actually in purchased my ncy racing head from scooter element also in PR. The only thing I didn't like about them was , they always tried to say gy6racingteam was selling fake ncy bbk's. I looked at the products he was talking about and , nowhere in the listing did they say the products where ncy. They still sell ncy, but started selling their own Taiwan bbk's and heads. I know a few members who have purchased their Taiwan made kits and said the quality was great. So , scooter elements was just talking like the competition was trying to sell products saying they were something different just to make them look bad. That didn't sit with me all that well, considering I purchased many items from them and never had an issue. But anyway , I hope you get that head done up nice.

any opinions on the startron fuel additive from Home Depot, as a sub. for seafoam?? Star tron is just as good , if not better then seafoam . I've been using it for the past couple years now. Advance auto , Walmart , and other places carry the star tron also. Its actually cheaper at home depot , then Walmart , not sure how that happened, lol. But yes seafoam is very good , and so is the star tron . star tron is much more expensive then sea foam , especially considering it is a much smaller amount per container. Advance auto use to sell the star tron for nearly 15 bucks . its about 10 bucks at Walmart and 8 bucks at home depot.

I contacted the ruck shop and they said ncy stopped sending their heads in the ncy package about a year ago. When I get the head back I'll share more picks. Thanks It should also have the NCY logo on the head like in the pic I posted. Also if you look at the real ncy heads , the exhaust port is smooth and doesn't have the lines left on the cast. I almost guaranty that's not a real ncy head .
