howdy, i met a fellow sunday and today we went for a ride of about 50 miles each way on two lanes and four lane roads. we hadn't discussed vehicle positioning. i just said i'll follow you. at first he just rode the middle of the lane but after i jockeyed to the other side of the lane each time he moved to one side, he started staying on one side or the other and i moved to the opposite side of the lane and a couple car lengths behind. on four lanes while in the slow lane i always moved to the right so overtaking traffic could see him ahead.
what do y'all think about safest riding together and vehicle position.
i know we had something on scootdawg but nothing here yet.

howdy, just my opinion but the larger diameter tires ride better and are more like a motorcycle when zig'n and zag'n. one reason they might ride better is because of the longer swing arm to accommodate the longer distance to the center of the rear wheel? that's just a shot off the top of the feeble brain.

howdy, it could also be a hole in the pick-up line in the tank if the tank is lower than the carb and requires a fuel pump. i had that with my piaggio till putting new hose from the filter to the pump and getting rid of the leaky hose.

howdy, i didn't mean to stir up the stuff. my point was that i don't ever remember going to that site or registering and the only way they had my info was from sd.com. i don't think it is right to take mailing list from some other site and spam them. just personal opinion, not bashing. sorry hank, i wouldn't purposely do something to stir up stuff. everyone who made the point just delete and go away happy is right also. the add was well done and not offensive aside from the list issue.

howdy, i have never visited the other scootdawg, but received an email from it with advertizing for the site. apparently they are using the registrations from scootdawg.com to send out unsolicited stuff. not good

howdy, yup puttin' helium in the tires will take 40 pounds off the weight of the scooter and make a 50cc scoot go mph. sorry my opinion is just stoopid. lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

howdy, sometimes the situation is not adequately described ie. some information not complete or specific. then it may be appropriate to take a guess and answer with some generic info that may or may not fit in the hope that something said will stimulate right thought. other times when an opinion is asked, i enjoy taking the "road less traveled" and present from a different point of view. again my hope is to stimulate truly helpful thought. i suspect mostly i'm wrong, but maybe those here can indulge and just let the wrong run off like water off the duck.
