howdy, is it possible or desirable to just switch out the 12" tire for a 10" and get the gearing back? or maybe go to a low profile tire or lose 200 pounds---now that's a funny not a comment of any particular.

howdy, i just harvested my cherry crop----both cherries and ate them on the spot. yummmm and i beat the birds to them too. the grape arbor and small birdhouses with flat stone paving it nice. no more projects----for at least a few days. i do want to get the fountain out front working which hasn't been tried since i bought the house a year ago. now concentrate on cleaning out the garage so a car will fit instead of only the scooter.

howdy, i used a large igloo gable roof style lunch box which held a 6 pack and some ice. i bungied it to my tail rack or the seat. cost nothing as i already had it in the garage.

howdy, i had my ride to the medical supplies business instead of work and by a place to get non ethanol 92 octane. they pretty well lock out using regular ethanol in vehicles in the state. the 92 octane non ethanol was 80cents higher cost than regular.

howdy and welcome aboard. check out craigslist in your area. you may find something there. i think there are some scooter riders in your area and maybe it would be good to meet up with a few over a cuppa

howdy, i don't know whether i'm balanced on this subject , being overweight myself but perhaps he can't get behind the steering wheel being so large(fat) and needs to get to the gym for some exercise in the hope of shedding that fat. probably can't walk either cause his feet hurt too much.

howdy, good job on the cheap, but i've probably got ya beat. bought a buick for 38.06 in change i saved in a sock. drove it from missouri to idaho twice then back to washington, then to missouri and down to mardi gras, and back through southern california and up 101 back to washington. then left it for my dad to drive for several years. no repairs at all. same tires as it had when i bought it. i put the spare on north of eureka cal. when i ran over a coke bottle and the bottom of the bottle went clear throught and ended up inside the tire. it did finally quit running and to check why , i pulled the plugs and dropped a bar through the plug hole. one cylinder , the bar went all the way to the pan instead of encountering the piston. SOL

howdy adam, welcome to the forum. do you walk to work now? i'm really thinking you are wise to take the purchase slowly. there are many surprise expenses in owning a vehicle of any kind. even with the purchase of a scooter, many accessories are what most of us consider necessities. protective and bright jacket with "armor", good helmet, leather gloves, good boots above the ankle height are a beginning. also insurance and license and tax may be surprisingly high. this is not intended as discouraging, but an encouragement to keep being cautious and don't put yourself in debt. good job so far.
