My 150 CC Roketa ran fine. I went out to start it. It would not start. I tried to charge it but the battery wires started to smoke. I am getting electrical power. There is no sound when I tried to start it not even a cranking sound.

Sounds like you have the wires crossed on the battery if the wires started to smoke. Alleyoop

The fuse going from the battery is loose, and pops off easily. Now come to find out the metal part of the fuse fell off and is lost. Someone told me to use a silver gum wrapper as a temporary fix. I wrapped the silver gum wrapper around the fuse. I am getting power to the lights, fuel gauge, and everything else except for no start. What kind of fuses do they use for the battery?

Get the gum wrapper out of there unless you want to see the whole bike smoking. I believe it is a 15 amp glass fuse they cost about as much as the pack of gum you used and you can buy them almost anywhere, even a grocery store

I put a 10 amp fuse in there. I am getting power to the bike but not starting. When I try to start it nothing. No noise, nothing.

JUmp the SOLENOID TERMINALS and see if it spins your starter. Do your brake lights come on when you SQUEEZE THE BRAKES? Alleyoop

Follow the THICK RED WIRE from the POSITVE POST on the Battery and that Cable will be connected to the SOLENOID. The other Terminal on the SOLENOID will have a Cable going to your starter. Alleyoop

[replyingto=epicket1]epicket1[/replyingto]Not sure where yours is,, But mine is under my seat bucket mounted to the right side frame rail. Cant miss it...might have a rubber boot covering the terminals so fish around a bit.
