Again nobody has answered my question. How is it that regulating mopeds or scooters is an undue burden. . Every other motor vehicle on the road needs a licensed driver and registration.
I'm always baffled at how some think a scooter or moped should be immune to proper regulation for on-road use.

You get the respect you earn. There are plenty of people out there willing to knock the out of you disabled or not. You have a huge chip on your shoulder that will get you nowhere. Back to your topic. Again if its on the road it should be licensed and registered. BTW-as a paraplegic I always find disabled "tough guys" interesting. They can fight but not work regular hours...... What makes you think that I have a physical disability? Oh it's very clear that your disability is not physical........... Of course there are those that would suggest that if one has the time and wherewithal to take part in discussions about the legality of scooters then one has the time and wherewithal to put in more time at the job. Unless you're a menace to others in the workplace.

Meanwhile back at the Statehouse they have been working on a bill in Indy that is acceptable to everyone . It will not be voted on till may, in the city here in E'ville has been having petition signings for and against scooters since November. There goal is to make it an inconvience to ride. Here we ride even when its below freezing. This makes the forth year they have been working at it. Can you let us know what the compromise is. How does registration and licensing make it inconvenient to ride? Those things have not slowed the motorcycle industry.

What's wrong with society today is people being willing to resort to violence for minor irritations... It's called a lack of respect. If you're respectful to me then I'll be respectful back. If you harass me then I'm going to confront you. I'm not someone who just tucks their tail between their legs. You get the respect you earn. There are plenty of people out there willing to knock the out of you disabled or not. You have a huge chip on your shoulder that will get you nowhere. Back to your topic. Easy answer is treat all scooters the same as motorcycles. I'm of the opinion if it's on the road with other traffic should be licensed and registered.

I actually have a theory about the rise of personal automobiles and obesity being linked. i have a theory that high fructose corn syrup is linked to obesity. sure their is probably a hundred other factors but it's no secret that HFCS was rapidly introduced into the U.S. market in the late 70's. shortly after this time period this country saw a huge spike in obesity. I link it to the explosion in tech in the 80's on. Cell phones, computers, the Net and those nasty game boxes. All ways to avoid moving, or even leaving the house. Its a sad day when I watch a NFL game and they have commercials pushing kids to go outside and play........

Do yourself a favor.... go test ride a 250. The power plant is soooo smooth and man, huge difference.... A little heavier bike so the ride is sooooo much nicer... try it.... You might skip the 150. Of course the 150's are way more fun, cheaper to mod and by and large easier to work on.... but, good gosh, the 250's are so smooth compared to the 150's. i'd <3 to get a 250 even without test riding one but i don't know if i can wait that long for a new scoot. it'd probably take me an extra 2 months savings to cover the price difference. i'm still nearly a month away from ordering the 150. i need to have it ready by May, preferably sooner so i can workout the bugs before i take my 500 mile round trip. just hope i don't end up stranded 100 miles from home on my new ride. mosquito repellent is #1 on my list, traveling to the west coast of Florida to visit family. last thing i need is a bunch of insect bites while trying to fix my ride in the middle of the everglades. lol If it were me I'd save the bucks for a 200-250cc scoot. Two months vs years of riding comfort. The trip from south east florida to anywhere on the west coast will require speeds a 150 will be hard pressed to match. Even the back roads thru the gut of the state will require a steady 60-65 mph. Just my .02. I also think the gators are a bigger problem than bugs!

How much time do you think I'd get out of a cheap china bike before it eventually has its first break down? Some are inoperable right out of the crate, some wait until you get a ways from the house, some never (or so I hear) I put 2000 on one and only had to push it once but no one knows. Seriously buy a used bike its a much better crap shoot... What he said !

Ill assume if you are in New England and say no sales or income tax you must be in New Hampshire.
The lack of a sales tax is nice but it is tied to the third highest property tax rate in the country. Depending on ones situation it may not be a good trade off. There is also a "limited income tax" in New Hampshire so it is not income tax free by definition. Interest and dividend income is taxable. Again its a trade off depending on ones financials.
