I bet your dink looks great with the white wall shoes !
today with two guys that have S200s and neither hit 60 mph. That's a rare scoot you got there I'd hold on to it.
Or if I ever got a ticket from that cop I'd ask to have his radar verified ........

You may be right Kat that's very fast for that scoot! After I bought my S200 I was a bit disappointed with the top end, I need to do a few exists on the freeway daily. It was rare to get it to 60gps. After reading others posts with that scoot 60 was about normal.

Leo you can't go wrong with the S200. Like I said I had it for 5000 trouble free, rattle free miles.

The people s200 is a fine scoot and I put over 5k miles on mine before I sold it to buy the RV200. That said the top speed of the 163cc air cooled motor was 58 mph GPS. I'm only 130 lbs and the bike was bought new and in tune.
Great scoot but no way will it go faster than 60.

I had EXPENSIVE full-coverage insurance. I had just moved from Illinois to Texas, and the carrier refused to pay off because the theft took place outside of Illinois. Yeah... So much for "being in good hands"...Leo in Texas and yet another reason why i will never pay for insurance... thieves need to be punished! and the people that stole your ride deserve the same. The purpose of insurance is to make one "whole" after a loss. It's not part of law enforcement and not intended to impose punishment on the scum of the earth. I've had a bike stolen and just had one totaled. First time it was my insurer and they paid in full. Recently it was the person that hit me policy and also paid in full. The price of the premium was money well spent. It beats the out of a ton of locks and chains every time I leave my scooter parked.

Hm. I'm thinking I've changed my mind about renting a scooter if I ever travel somewhere.... >'Kat If you do rent take your time and do a video walk around with the employee there. this keeps them from trying to accuse you of doing something that was already damaged. More important take the time to read what you are signing. Rental contracts can be unserious to say the least.

I think y'all may have missed my point. Its a reason to wear gear. Bad poop can happen anywhere BUT when one knows an activity has risk one should be prepared for it. Or be willing to pay the price.
With all the "what ifs" in life out of our control we should take charge of the things that we can control.

Dress for the fall. Even in HiVis and on a yellow trike I got hit two weeks ago, the gear let me walk away. Lid, armor jacket a pants , boots and gloves every time. It's a personal choice I rode my harley clad in black for almost 40 years and no amount of preaching changed my mind. That said a bathroom slip and fall left me a inc paraplegic. No I wasn't wearing my gear in the can ! Go figure you can only be so safe .........

I ride with two clubs every week. One rides tuesday night and Saturday mornings and the other sunday morning. From time to time we need to ask a rider to leave but that's the exception not the rule.
Problems occur when a group rides with no true "group leaders". Sure we get newbees who are clueless how to ride as a group. We assign a rider who knows the ropes to that scoot and teach through example. Haven't had a fall or the cops in years.

I have a retired buddy who just loves to screw with idiots. He owns a small hardware store just to have something to do. He has a 30 foot cable lock he made up just to watch fools trying to unlock his 50 cc scoot. He weaves the cable through the spokes on both wheels, the forks as well as a couple places on the fame. Then he waits by the front window and if someone is fool enough to try stealing the scoot, they get really frustrated.....He then goes out with an unloaded pistol and holds them at gunpoint. So far he has turned 5 guys and one girl over to law enforcement officials.
I think the word is out after a reporter from the local paper was there to capture the slime ball on film. Hmm six people at least trying to steal a 50cc scoot, wonderful place........ A unloaded gun waved around here will get you shot in an instant. If this is a true story this guy should be in jail.
