Back to your question, I bought tires off ebay but used a Motorcycle Superstore Preferred Dealer near me to put it on. I just took the tire there and told him how I found him.

I bought the very same horn in the link that jeepsteve92xj posted. The only mods you need to do are to run two wires directly off the battery, attach spade and ring connectors, and figure out where to secure the relay. But as I always say in the world of scooter mechanics, if I can do it, you can do it.
It's really loud horn -- I love it.

Same thing happened to me a while back - one bulb out, and the next a few days later. I checked and checked, and at the end of the day I had to conclude that it was either a coincidence or a one time thing. Been over a year now without an issue.

Everything you will need can be found on BMS's parts site at www.bmsmotorparts.com/ This scoot is also the BMS TBX 260 and BMS stocks pretty much all the parts. Unless it is a generic part I'd reccommend spending a few dollars more and buy here. This is a Linahi clone engine, but its not identical to the MC-54B and a lot of the parts on ebay won't fit. Roketa sells this as the MC-62 and you can buy things there too. You'll also find this helpful - here are expanded drawings detailing every part in the bike from the Roketa site so you'll know what to order. roketa.com/product/product_support.jsp?cateID=2610&sonCateID=0&proID=33907

I started this thread on the old site, and just thought it was worth a follow-up here for any new members. In this thread I raised the problem I was having with the scoot when the temps went below 20 degrees. The scoot sputtered away and never really seemed to warm up. scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=57629&page=1The common response was that at some point your mixture gets too lean in the cold, and as per the advice, I gave the carb a 1/3 turn out. That did it and I've had no further cold weather riding problems. Ride safe all!

The correct battery for the scooter is a YTX7A-BS. If you get the right battery you ensure that it fits under the battery cover and will match the contour of the underseat liner. You can get a nice scorpion battery for 43 delivered from batterystuff.com

It is behind the dash. You need to take off the faring. I was going to post the vog panel dissassembly guide I've always used from the old site but I see since it shut down there are no more pictures. Here is a link - perhaps the description will help some. Feel free to pm me with specific questions. scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=8997

I'll start with my solution first. My Vog would run fine and then just periodically stall, and this eventually became a starting issue as well. After going through many suggested fixes, I ultimately traced it back to the brown and yellow wire that goes into the CDI simply being loose. Specifically, I saw that all the wires going into the plug clipping into the CDI have little rubber "gaskets" aroung them. The brown and yellow wire had its gasket hanging out and some of the metal connector spade visible where the other wires were neat and hidden. I pulled that wire out, re-fit the gasket and plugged the wire back in, and haven't stalled in over a year.
When I was on scootdawg looking for help other Vog owners mentioned a torn diaphram in the carb as causing problems, as well as a cracked manifold elbow (the plastic pipe that holds on the carb). All worth a check.
While you're waiting for a response, go to the old site and in the Google search pane put in trailheadmike Vog Stalling and you'll see all the great responses I got to my old questions. Keep us posted.

Its a Xingyue. They all are. Open your seat, and towards the front (the hinge) on the right side (even with the access panel) you'll see a rectangular window through which you will see a plate with manufacturers information that's welded onto a frame rail. If you look at the very first line (might be slightly under the plastic) it'll say the manufacturer, and in this case it should say China Xingyue Group. They factory's badge the scoot for whoever pays them. This was also a Tank Touring 260. I put the BMS link in my first post.

Like I said - if its the Xingyue you can get parts from Roketa for the MC-65 or from BMS for the TBX 260. Don't chance it anywhere else besides BMS or Roketa.

All things for that scoot are available from BMS directly: www.bmsmotorparts.com/I have this scooter, and I do not recommend getting any part unless it is strictly generic (like a brake switch) from anywhere but BMS or official Roketa (its the roketa MC-62 as well). This scooter is like other Linhai styles, but not quite. BMS costs a little more, but its worth it not to have the aggravation of sending back the wrong part.
