Got a 2012 Taotao ATM150-A Evo 150cc. One headlight bulb burned out, then the second one 24 hours later. OEM is a Philips HS1 12V/35W, but was able to replace with Eiko H4 12V/35W, and it's working fine. Are two bulbs burning out a coincidence or a symptom of something else? Thanks.

Faulty Voltage regulator would be my first guess. My second guess is the plug on the regulator is loose. My third guess is the regulator is not grounded good. My fourth guess is the bracket the regulator is loose or not making good ground contact.

I wouldn't be too worried unless they both burnt out at the exact same time and/or the replacements burn out much sooner than later. There's a good chance both bulbs were installed at the same time, and that could explain why there was such a short interval between the 2 bulbs burning out.

Thanks guys. I'll have a look at the regulator and connections. "Murphys law" is my middle name.

Same thing happened to me a while back - one bulb out, and the next a few days later. I checked and checked, and at the end of the day I had to conclude that it was either a coincidence or a one time thing. Been over a year now without an issue.
