I will go through the motorcycle course on my scooter. Talked to a guy that gives the course in Illinois. It cost $20... it is $275 here. depending on which school, i've seen it as low as $225. does a motorcycle endorsement transfer to another state or will you be required to take the class again? (asking for me as i don't plan to stay in florida) any chance the university can install a foot break for you? that would be a cool modification. edit: use of smiles are a bit over the top for me today, lol. hope you got extra gigabits JR. ;D

could i put my cvt cover back on and try kick staring it? NO... imo take the starter off. most likely the pin that pushes the gear in place is stuck. sry i don't know the correct terms but that seems logical to me. perhaps someone else has better answer, idk.

looks like a few teeth need to be moved past the bendix. near the end 2 teeth come together from what i could see in the vid... vid is a little fast, sorta hard to tell with all the moving around but that is what i saw.

you might try this first and save some time and money. i've never used it so no review from me but the vid has 144 likes to 8 dislikes. might be worth a shot.

He said that he was gonna go over it completely so, hopefully he will. *crosses fingers* if you tell him everything you have told this forum then he should have no trouble diagnosing the problem(s).

I'm trying to use that, but I have to make a lot of assumptions based on what it looks like and I'm no expert. just read return policy. you will have 30 days to exchange or return. will only be out shipping. i have no other help for you, sry. i'd be guessing based on pics same as you. edit: perhaps you could find the bulbs at an auto parts store. at least then you could see it up close and personal. check their return policy.

ramblinman: No, the warranty JUST ran out right before all these problems started happening. Seriously, I believe it was only by a day or 2. That's just my luck though... Hopefully, this mechanic will know what he's doing, he's the only moped mechanic in the area.. & hopefully it won't be too expensive. He said based on our phone call that it sounds like a loss of compression to him & if thats what it is its gonna cost $125.00 to fix that... But, if that was the problem wouldn't the moped not being revving up trying to go? bummer about no warranty... if it is a total loss of compression then it wouldn't even start. you've had so many problem with your valves/camshaft that whatever is causing the problem has likely lowered the compression. i still think the root of the problem is the oil pump. make sure he checks that.

I give up.... Called a mechanic.... Will know the damage later... *sigh* you're not the only one that gets frustrated with these scoots. besides, if the oil pump is bad, replacing that isn't going to solve the problem. it is likely the problems you're experiencing were caused by a bad pump. hopefully i am wrong, otherwise it could be an expensive repair. is it still under warranty?

I always made sure there was oil in it. I even carry a quart with me, just in case. I change the oil regularly as well. I use Rotella T 15w 40 Which is what I was told to use... if the pump is bad then none of that matters. It is easy to check the oil pump take the valve cover off if there is oil on the bits it is likely working. Do check the valves again but... i would follow scootwinn's advice and find out if your valves/chain is coated with oil.
