Look at the old bearings, the numbers you need should be stamped on the side. (just order better quality bearings in the same sizes) all GY6-50 Short cases have the same bearings, or do they not? here is a sight that I have acquired over the time of owning my scoot. www.chinese-parts-canada.com/parts_gy6_139qmp.htmlAm I cool following the site above for Info?

need new bearings and I'm replacing all rear-end bearings, just want to know if I got the right bearings.
Question is, will these work from vbx bearings.com;
1. 6004-2NSE Nachi Bearing 20x42x12 Sealed C3 Japan Ball Bearings 1. 6303-2NSE Nachi Bearing 17x47x14 Sealed C3 Japan Ball Bearings 1. 6201-2NSE Nachi Bearing 12x32x10 Sealed C3 Japan Ball Bearings 1. 6203-2NSE Nachi Bearing 17x40x12 Sealed C3 Japan Ball Bearings
If not, Why?
Darren.

My lintex 50cc manual says 260# but my girlfiend and I ride fine on her at 30mph all day long, we're 285 combined. I've also hauled a trailer, 140#s with girlfriend won't get much more than 25-30 mph but still can get around.

[replyingto=bwader]bwader[/replyingto]the only thing I can think of is you were running too lean, normal cause of engine ceasing.
I personaly, would check inside the motor and see if anthing is missing, like cir clips or dowls that may have sliped. But, I still think you were running lean

8000r's is the max on all 49.5cc. Not good for long periods.
If you're racing or draging the strip, beafed-up of course, 12-15000r's are achievable.
Good point on mowers and generators, but, they do have rpm limiters, like the scooters that are made before 2010, so they can be ran at WOT. Limited. I do know that chainsaws are the same as well, limited to 6500r's
So, 6400r's for the max TQ and 7500r's for the max HP. I would think anything after 7600r's is a waste of gas and money for new parts.
Me, on the other, I cruise great up to 45 (bike speed) slacks to 52. that would be the power curve.
This is beside the subject, has anyone tried to match up the rpm's with kph on the bike. variator closed and clutch open which is top gear. after 35 (bike speed) the rpm's seem to corospond with the kph. I know it's just the config I have. has anyone experienced that?

This happened to a buddy who rode around without a muffler for 2 months them boom is that cold air getting into the cil from busted seal/burnt valve, hot cold hot cold. Or, did it get too hot, melting. Maybe dirt entering the cil from the exhaust port while riding? just want to clarify great pic btw.

sounds like a blown exaust valve, cause of no exuast. I was just curious and tried to start the scoot without an exaust. won't start not unless you give it gas. when I did get it started wouldn't stay running. stock heads are .002 any mods like A9 cam higher head assy. ect....... .003-.005
if what these guys are saying don't work I'd suggest replacing the vv's. If you're not confindent on messing with internal parts then replace the whole head.
note: As you are going through the carb take note of what size your jets are. My stock carb is an 18mm with 78mj 33ij, these jets came with the carb. I set my a/f screw 1 1/4 out.
when runing ride safe.

Why are you using such thin oil, that is almost like water? Most use 10w40 all year round. That could be the reason for the louder tapping. The motors are not built with tight tolerances. Alleyoop What sounds like water the 10 or the 30? my oil don't burn, I blow a little oil. about 10ml in 300mi. live in Reno, nv and last winter the coldest was 10* at night and no higher than 45* in the day jan-mar. now that it is may were pretty much out of the cold were hit'n 80's no lower than 50* at night. Regular oil changes every 400- 800mi depending on the color. it will never hit 1000miles with the same oil. I re-adjusted the vv's, intk @ in-between .0015&.002 closer to .002, and exst at .002. Hardly any tap, very light tapping, she runs like a beast. Maxes at 50-52 bike spd, which you all know is 38-40 real speed. With the vv's set @ .003 or .004, like what everyone on this site said, and it was way too loud of tapping and couldn't even touch the 50 mark. Would not want to run right at all. Hard starts, almost dying at stops. it was either too much air or too much gas, could never find the happy medium. This is my everyday driver. Explain that! GUYS! I think I'll stick with the manual! sounds like a case of massive scooter-abuse. off-roading for scooters consist of; no mirrors, slime, xtra sprk-plug/s, belts, brake levers/mstr cil, and cables if needed. Also, frame supports, adjustable over-sized fr shocks, dual rearshocks adjustable damp and rebound, electric fuel pump reliable. you might as well go fuel inject. A pressured gas-tnk and anything eles I missed for the engine to run better under those condish. You definatly want to streangthen the frame and shocks cause they're going to take most of the beating. But, on the other hand you got a one piece engine/swing-arm setup so there's going to be lots of twisting in the rear. you just might break a case. Now, Indys' got it right get a pit bike, dirtbike, or an enduro. safer ride, safer for the pocket, and safer for you.
