I got thinner gauge of spring same length and when I get a new slide I'll round the edges. the orig slide was already pretty rounded. and I think what he did with the needle hole was bore it a # or 2 than the orig hole itself. thus making the needle move easier. I know when I changed the spring I did have way better throttle response.

Hummm been reading this thread, and I think ill give my two cents for what it's worth... The Stroker crank can be a handful, I had one, I used an NCY 52mm bbk, 50mm bb head. 20mm carb, free flow exhaust, NCY Hi Pro cam, 17/49 gears, and just about every other thing you can think of.. My top speed was 60 MPH, gps and police verified.. However components had a very short life, I went thru a mountains of variators, needed new premium drive belts every three months, had my cvt cut open for extra cooling... It was hard to start, especially in winter as the starter was barley able to handle the compression when turning it over, I had two 120 cca batteries wired in parallel.. In short i was working on it alot to keep it running... I don't really recommend a strocker for anyone that is not ready to put gobs of money in it, especially if it's a daily driver.. Here's my recommended build, an NCY 83cc bbk, Ncy 50mm bb head, A9 cam, 20mm carb, free flow exhaust.change your varitor weights, maybe change your gears to 16/50 ( Test First ) .... This can achieve about 48 mph pretty easily.. But more important is you will have the torque to handle hills and wind.. Otherwise i would avoid the stroker for the 139 unless your a seasoned mechanic with lots of time and money to put into it. This is why I didn't recommend all of the mods. I've got enough maintenance just with the 200-300mi oil changes and then that toooooo! I'm sticking to the 50cc running the A9, 7g roller, perf variator, 1500clutch, 2k main sprg, tad quicker gear set not sure on sizes.

9,900 miles on only preventive maintenance. The repairs I've done was my own mistakes!

if your keeping the 50 bore the best things to do is:
1. open up the stock exhaust
I put 2 23/64's holes on bottom of muffler after first baffle plate. it helps a lot with top-end power. almost too much flow!
2. A9 Cam 3. stroker crank 4. 20mm carb
If not keeping the 50 bore, I don't suggest this, but:
1. 52mm bore commonly called 110cc. I believe it's a 100-105cc 2. big Vv head or 3 Vv head 3. custom exhaust
custom exhaust, meaning the port size is the pipe size with 1/8" bigger tip then the pipe itself. any pipe that is bigger than the port itself will rob you power!
4. CDI 5. oil cooler and catch can for the air cooled
And, of course, re-gear the gearbox bigger variator rollers/sliders springs main and clutch use led lights head/turn/brake, this helps also. preventive maintenance!
ride safe! Darren

no no no no no, ok, the four bolts for the eng. fan which bolt to the fly.
I dummied and put too long of 8mm bolts on the fan. They were slightly too long and shredded the coils on the stater. that's what the clicking was when it first started.
lesson learned! for me to pay attention to the size of bolts! Glad it's my bike. lol.

Final update,
my fault, the cause too long of bolts on flywhl. the effect is shredding the poles on the stater!
BIG Whoooops!
New stater on the way.

no wires on kick, and this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSZ3t_oibeA) says it's the CDI.
But I will connect a to the frame for ground. We'll see what happens.
